Allie is very brightly coloured, which is what probably appeals to our daughter. Allie is also just about the perfect size for her to hug and hold and pull around (approximately 8 inches in height). Everything these days seem to end up in her mouth and Allie is no exception. I have found this toy to be very robust and very well made, considering it is chomped, chewed, sicked on and pulled around on a daily basis - easy to wipe clean too.
To give you a run down on Allie: all four paws are made of a cloth fabric and are soft and crinkle to the touch. The two front paws contain a couple of teething rings on one and a jingle ball on the other. The collar around Allie's neck is very, very similar to a cats collar in that it contains a jingle bell inside. Allie's ears, although quite small, are crinkly to the touch. There is a plastic triangle shaped hook on the top of Allie's head to enable this toy to be attached to other things - although I personally haven't used it to that effect - my daughter likes to chew and chomp on this particular part more than any other! The tail is bright yellow and has some small ribbons attached to the end of it. If you pull the tail, Allie vibrates and makes a purring sound - it's very cute!
The rest of Allie is made of a soft plush furry velour in bright orange and pink, with a bright yellow face.
This toy was very cheap in comparison to some other toys on the market and has given our daughter hours of fun and enjoyment - she particularly likes Allie to be put on her chest and the tail pulled!!!
As our daughter is growing older, Allie remains a firm favourite - alongside the "real" ginger feline in our household who must be silently quivering in her fluffy boots!!!
Advantages: educational, nice friend for little girl Disadvantages: she goes on and on and on.....
, so it doesn't work out as expensive as you might think.
The doll comes with a tea party outfit. It depends which doll you have to what design the clothes are, but they consist of a dress, tights, shoes, a hairband and clasps which Ally calls barrets. You also get 2 clasps with her which are especially for the owner. Each item of clothing has a sensor on it which then clips into a port on Ally's body. She can tell you what she is wearing and what you have to put on her to complete the outfit.
Ally comes with her own teaset comprising of a teapot, a cup, and a slice of cake. My daughters doll also has a cat. All these things are inter-active and plug into Ally's hand. She always comments on what she is holding, usually telling you how much she loves it.
She is undoubtedly one of the ugliest dolls I've ever seen. She has long ...
