Manufacturer's product description
The Allied Telesis' AT-AR300 Small Office Router is designed to connect your office to the corporate LAN and to other remote offices using high speed ISDN. The router provides spoofing for IPX/SPX data and only connects to the remote office whenever data needs to be transmitted thus ensuring that line charges are kept to a minimum. Internet access is now a major component of wide area connectivity for access to the World Wide Web and Email. With the integral data compression, the AT-AR300 can transmit up to 512kbps of compressed data across a single 64kbps ISDN connection. Data security is maintained by powerful firewalls, incorporating extensive IP filtering to restrict access, whilst logging unauthorized access attempts. Internet access is further enhanced with features such as Network Address Translation (NAT) which allows an entire office to share a single-user Internet Service Provided (ISP) account and Dynamic IP address assignment which simplifies Internet access by allowing your ISP to dynamically assign your IP address every time you access the Net. The AR-300 supports two Analog ports, which can be connected to either telephones or facsimile machines allowing voice and data to share the same ISDN connection. This makes the AT-AR300 ideal for small SOHO offices where high speed Internet access as well as voice communications are required.
Advantages: Good fetchers Disadvantages: May be a bit difficult setup properly
...Generally Linksys make good routers and this is no exception. Good build quality and all manuals are help full to setup the router. The Linksys router has a wide range(2.4 ghz) so if you are concerned about the signal not being strong enough don't worry it's more that a abdicate. The router is compatible with both ADSL and ADSL2+. It 4 pouts where you can connect computer directly to the router. This router is also very fast.
The only down side to this router is that it can be a bit difficult to setup but don't let that put you of because it is well documented.
Over all very good but a bit costly at 95.00 but is you are looking for a really router this defiantly a good option....

Advantages: Many Ethernet Ports, support for WAN, High Speed Modem, Easily Concealable, Can work With Vista Disadvantages: Not the best looking router, strength through thick walls can be low
...Buying a router can really effect your home network. With this great router from linksys, comes the great support from Linksys. I have had two different routers from this company, and have now switched to this. Even though it technically only the Draft-N version (official N isn\'t out yet), it still provides high speed and range, and can easily be the centre of my home network, consisting of three computers and two high performance servers (custom build). This router easily handles all traffic, and keeps the network running seemlessly.
The router also acts as a great Broadband access point, and fully supports high speed broadband (up to 24mp/s). Lastly, it allows for easily securing of your network, configuration of high encrytion SSL, provides four ports for devices connected via ethernet, and one socket allowing for the creation...

Advantages: Packed with features, excellent value for money Disadvantages: Coverage A Bit Poor
...I bought this router for £35 from Ebuyer after sending back a Buffalo one which didn't work very well. What Ebuyer don't say on the website is that this Acer router comes with a free PCMCIA laptop wireless card in the box so for £35 this is excellent value for money.
The router is small, light and packed with features. You can add mac filtering for both wireless and wired clients, wep and features an activity log. There is an option to hide the ssid although this does not seem to work. Also it states on the box the coverage is up to 300m however sitting in the room below the router the coverage is quite poor, I receive a "low" signal strength and a connection of 2mbps on my computer which is pretty bad since the maximum should be 108mbps. I can pick up my 2 neighbours wireless lan a lot stronger than my own.
I haven't received any...

This is a wireless network router whih you can use with either a cable modem or a DSL modem. I've owned mine for ages - it orginally cost me £76 and, though that's quite a lot compared to some routers, this one is really powerful and I guess you get what more
