Low Cost Enterprise Security Firewall Router

Advantages: Powerful, Easy to configure, Good support, Low cost
Disadvantages: Needs extra 'modem' for each broadband Connection, Occasional reboots required

comes with mounting brackets and screws (no rack nuts included though) so that you can mount the router in a data cabinet. Once ready, it?s just a case of plugging in the power, a patch lead (network cable) to a Vigor 100 (or 110) or a router in a non-NAT configuration from one of the two WAN (Wide Area Network) ports and another patch lead from one of the LAN (Local Area Network) ports to your network. The Vigor 100 (or 110) is like a modem and required to connect the 2950 to an ADSL connection (the phone cable for the broadband connects to the Vigor 100). After all that, you log into the 2950 with the default login details to set up the ADSL settings (broadband account login details), similar to most routers. The 2950 can have two broadband connections plugged into it so one would need to plug in another Vigor 100 (or non-NAT router ...

Great Multimedia Wireless Router from Belkin

Advantages: Reliable, Fast, Easy to configure, Lots of features, USB for sharing drives
Disadvantages: Bit expensive, Not full speed with every machine

of features and even a USB port for sharing files on drives - Lifetime manufacturer's warranty! CONS - Too sensitive to power cuts - A bit expensive - Not full speed on my laptop despite it having a Wireless N network card VERDICT This is one of the best routers I've ever used and it hasn't given me any grief until I had a power cut, which pretty much broke it. However, it survived a further 2-3 power cuts so maybe it was a one off. It is a bit on the expensive side but not as much as business routers. There is another router from Belkin that costs even more than this one but that one tells you your broadband speed and other stuff on a display on the router itself, how cool is that? As for this Belkin N+ modem router, it has all the features you could need and more unless you need VPN (connects you to a network securely over ...

Review of Belkin N+ Wireless Modem Router - wireless router

Belting Belkin Router!

Advantages: Fairly easy to set up, easy to use, reliable, looks good.
Disadvantages: Bandwidth Innacurate.

in the garden, then you shouldn't have any big connection issues (dropping connection etc) due to its proximity? unless you live in a big house with a big garden of course. You should check Belkins website to make sure this router will provide the coverage you need though as I wouldn't want to just assume it would for the purpose of this review. It also means that my dad can use my connection from his house next door if his net ever goes down (although he'd need me to give him the security password which I shall talk about below) as our network shows up on his laptop when he's reconnecting to his home network haha. This also reinforces the security aspect that I will address in a few moments as you don't know who else can pick up your network on a wireless search within your area! Setting up was relatively easy, connect all the wires ...
