Expansion / connectivity
Interfaces: 48 x network node - Ethernet 10Base-T/100Base-TX - RJ-45
Advantages: Power. Style. Lightweight. CDRW/DVD Combo drive. Fast. Dedicated AGP graphics card with 16MB DDR memory. Not too expensive compared to most other notebooks. Plenty of expansion/add-on ports Disadvantages: The lack of a floppy drive may be a disadvantage to some, but not to me
...'ve had my 7002 for 3 weeks now & haven't had a single problem with it as yet (long may that continue!). I ran the notebook on it's battery power yesterday & the battery lasted for almost 2 hours before it needed to be charged up again, so you know that you can get away with using the battery safely for about 1.5 hours before you may run into any problems.
The modem had been performing quite well & I've been getting consistant connection speeds of 48,000bps to both Freeserve Anytime & Lineone Surftime.
Games wise, I've played Return to Castle Wolfenstien, Medal of Honour Allied Assault & Rainbow 6 Ghost Recon & all have played flawlessly to say the least. It's a true desktop replacement on every way shape & form. To be honest, I've hardly used my desktop pc since getting my notebook.
Still a 10/10 notebook then.

Advantages: small, plug and play, cheap Disadvantages: not manageable but at this price, can't complain
...I've known Netgear's stuff through work, and needed a little switch for home as I have currently have three PCs connected and sharing an internet connection.
For those who are unaware of what a network switch does, it allows multiple computers to talk to one-another via their network cards. As most PCs now come with at least one network port as standard, then having more than PC in a household becomes an interesting prospect.
This is the smallest 5 portswitch I have ever seen, not much wider than the 5 network ports at it's rear. The unit comes with a power supply, but no network cables, these will need to be purchased seperately.
Each port has a single status indicator on the front of the switch, flashing when transfer is taking place.
This is a 10/100 network switch, gigabit switches are available elsewhere. This switch is non...

Great value Review ofBelkin OmniView SOHO Series 4 Port KVM Switch - KVM switch - 4 portsby
webspot
Advantages: Quick and easy to set up Disadvantages: Video may get interference
...I've had this KVM switch for a number of years now, since my previous one only had two ports. I found this one fairly cheap somewhere. You're supplied with all the VGA and PS2 cables for each of the 4 connections. You can then plug these cables into your computers. The button on the top allows for quick switching.
But as well as using the button for switching between computers, you are also able to use keyboard shortcuts. These are pretty common in KVM switches, and belkin manage to do it the same way as everyone else. Great for people that are already used to using a KVM switch. The KVM switch has a useful beep, which can be helpful to understand when a command was received by the switch.
The switch also has a port for plugging in power. This helps improve the quality of the picture as there is more power behind it. Most of the time...
