...As Linksys is owned by Cisco when you purchase this router you know you're purchasing something which will last and will be reliable. The wireless part of this router is amazing, the signal is excellent and I haven't had a problem since I purchased this item. The router part protects my home network from intrusion and allows me to setup a secure VPN so I can access my network elsewhere. You can open ports to allow applications to access any PCs on your network. You can also restrict internet access per PC with timed intervals allowing you to keep an eye on the kids usage. Overall this router is an amazing bit of kit that has every option available and takes minutes to setup....

Advantages: Good Coverage Disadvantages: Incompatible unless you have a Buffalo wireless card
...I bought the Buffalo wirelessrouter a month ago for £33 from Ebuyer. It was easy to setup however I was suffering frequent disconnects with both my laptop containing a Toshiba wireless lan card and my PC which had an ASUS wireless card. Upon doing some research I found that this is a known common problem with Buffalo routers and it is fixed if you have a Buffalo wireless lan card in your computer. I checked the manufacturer website to see if they had a software upgrade to fix this but they didn't, they only have an instruction manual & seem to have no support on this. I was not not prepared to buy a Buffalo wireless card to fix this so I sent the router back for a refund.
On the other hand the router is very easy to setup, it has the essential features such as hide ssid, wep, mac filtering, and an activity log. The coverage...
