Advantages: Power. Style. Lightweight. CDRW/DVD Combo drive. Fast. Dedicated AGP graphics card with 16MB DDR memory. Not too expensive compared to most other notebooks. Plenty of expansion/add-on ports Disadvantages: The lack of a floppy drive may be a disadvantage to some, but not to me
...& everything was perfect to say the least. Checking the CDRW drive out (8x4x32) I recorded some files to a blank disk & the operation was quick & painless. There’s no dedicated program for the CDRW like Nero or Direct CD, but that’s because Windows XP has support for burning stuff to disk. Everything went smoothly & quickly, which was nice to see! Oh yeah, the DVD player uses Win DVD 2000 as its software player, which is easy enough to use.
Sound is catered for by the Advance Logic AC97 soundcard & it performs well enough, but nothing like my main pc’s SB Live! 5.1 soundcard. The stereo speakers aren’t up to much & you are far better off using a set of headphones with inline audio controls as this let you pump up the volume that bit more & makes things that much better.

...I’ve owned a Revo now for around 6 months and have found it to be invaluable, even if I will admit I originally purchased it as a nice-to-have gadget. The unit is durable and has stood up well to some fairly arduous treatment, and still looks (as one would expect) good as new.
The main decision, as I see it, when choosing a PDA at the moment is what exactly you will use it for. I like the 3Com Palm VX very much, and strongly considered buying one when I purchased the Revo. What made my mind up were the onboard applications that come with the Revo (Microsoft compatible spreadsheet and word processor for a start). This, allied to it’s very passable keyboard led me to choose the Psion, as it allows me to work whilst on the move - even allowing me to check my emails when allied to my (Ericsson T28) mobile phone. The Palm VX, with it...

Advantages: Superb performance, Stunning Specifications, a Possible Desktop replacement Disadvantages: Heavy and Rather Expensive
...: Allied Assault onto the machine. And you now how it is when you have to sit around for ages for games to install, well not anymore!!! I loaded this disk and as soon as the screen saying "Please Wait while the games installs- This may take a few minutes" it flicked off again and the massive screen replied with "Game Successfully Installed" It plays big games with flowing ease with loading times being absolutely minimal. Another great point about the 7700 is the sound. You would expect with all the parts inside a small laptop would generate huge amounts of noise from the fan. Well you're in for a treat the noise from the laptop is so quiet you would hardly notice that it was on!!! I was lucky enough to be able to have a TV Tuner inside my 7700 which works surprisingly well on the "mahussive" (massive + huge = mahussive) 17inch screen, which...
