I have been using this for quite a while now and believe it to be good stuff because of the aloe vera's detoxing properties. If you're after a gentle cleansing of your insides then it's perfect. I had previously tried the Aloe Vera Colax, colon cleansing tablets which certainly worked but you had to visit the toilet a lot! You only need to add about 25ml with one or your daily eight glasses of water. It tastes nice too! It can help with indigestion and inflammation of the joints. So can be very helpful for elderly people or even sports men and women. Aloe Pura are company which have created a fantastic range of organic skin products all containing Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera has fantastic healing properties for the skin. It comes from the aloe barbadensis plant. Scientists are not completely sure how it works but they do know that the gel contains gummy substances that form soothing natural emollients. It is rich in a chemical called bradykininase ( a painkiller) and it is also rich in anti-inflamatory compounds. It soothes itching, dilates blood vessels and increases blood flow, therefore promoting quicker healing. Aloe vera is great for burns, cuts and grazes, psoriasis, acne and shingles. I first bought this about a year ago as I tend to get dry skin on my arms and legs during the winter. I didnt want to pay an absolute fortune for something that I would be using nearly every day. It's made from organically grown Aloe Vera and uses the inner leaf gel (meant to be better than the outer leaf). On the bottle it claims that helps to smooth, moisturize and refresh your skin, which I think it does. My skin feels a lot smoother and softer after the use of this body lotion. It is also easily absorbed into your skin, so you are not walking round sticking to your clothes for a couple of hours. For those concerned about such stuff, it says on the bottle that the product and its ingredients have not been tested on animals, which I think is a plus.
