Alphacom Rgncy EXEC

Advantages: powerful, fast cpu, great wireless capabilities
Disadvantages: large in size, needs a small nuclear reactor to keep it going for a long time, bad phone call quality

...I've been using an exec for a few months now. I won't go into the specifications as these have been repeated in other reviews but as far as i know, this is still the most powerful phone/pda around. Even the newer generation phones that are being released under "o2" have slightly less powerful CPUs. The XDA Atom Exec (released late january 2007) features a 416MHz processor compared to this phone that has a 520MHz CPU. The added power however drains the battery somewhat, especially if you use the phone to its limits, running multiple processor intensive applications at the same and using the wireless connection alot. I use my exec more than i ever thought i would in the office. My office is huge but has wireless access points throughout so whether i'm in meetings and need to show some Microsoft Excel flowcharts, or in the cafe downstairs... Read review

Advantages: built in modem
Disadvantages: huge in comparrison to newer Nokias

...these are the mobile fones everybody wanted maybe a year to 18 months ago but now seem a little brick like in their size and weight. The keys are a little rubbery rather like trying to type on those old spectrum 48k computers, but all the options are classic nokia and the screen is decently sized compare to other budjet phones. An important factor of wanting this phone over the newer trendier 3210 and 3310s is that it has a built in modem so you can hook it up to a laptop and get jealous glances of execs on the train while you surf the net. The new nokias don't have this feature.... Read review
