Now come the gimmicks. You don't like Alpine's traditional pale blue buttons? Then select the Amber option. How many people are in the car and where are they sitting? Use SPS to automatically alter the fader and balance settings. Don't like the 'level' and radio signal strength indicators? Alter them.
The final and completely over the top function has to be the ability to alter the display angle. Find the screen too difficult to read with reflections on it? Tilt it up. If you can keep a straight face while doing this, you must take yourself far too seriously!

...After searching on the internet, and looking for some new Car speakers that would fit into my Fiat, I found the Alpine series. Although not widely marketed, I found a series of three of them and tested them out before I decided to buy them. I would love to say that they performed excellently and created a unique musical environment in my vehicle...but they didn't. I found the speakers quite poor in reception, they seemed to hum and reverb whenever I sped up. I thought initially that this was due to loose connections, but after I searched for the cables and tightened them, the problem was still there.
The price is reasonable, but the music quality is below par. There are much better options available if you raise your price level a little....

When I first used this deck I remember thinking how stiff it felt and to me felt quite cumbersome. But with the right slipmat and a bit of polish on the platter, it's a beauty to use!
