Alpine SPR-13 C

Advantages: These speakers will handle large amounts of power and are more than willing to do so for long periods of time. They have rather punchy bass so I find that they work very well along side a sub and they have great midrange sound.
Disadvantages: Quite weighty so if you're planning on installing them into a standard parcel shelf be prepared to stregthen it, better still would be to replace the shelf with a wooden one.

...I reluctently purchased these 6x9's about 6 months ago after becoming sympathetic with passangers in the rear of my car only being able to hear the constant drowning of sub bass. Having not run any speakers in the rear for quite some time because I rather spend money on SQ upfront (the place your ears point to) and on sub bass, I was very dubious as to how this would affect the overall sound of the system. I already had the Alpine SPR176A components up front and was more than happy with them so I thought that I'd give their 6x9 cousins a try. When they arrived I was impressed by the build quality of the basket and cone, they come with the same silk dome tweater as the Alpine compnents so I pretty much knew what to expect. ...This review is for Alpine SPR-694A, which is a newer produkt, and not possible to review yet. I went out one saturday morning looking for some new speakers for my car. I started looking in the lower end of the price rage, and many different speakers were demonstrated to me, but even as the prices went up I still wasn't tempted to buy. Then I tried out the Alpine SPR-694A and then I knew I had found what I was looking for. The price of 200$ was more than I had planed on spending, but man was it worth it. I went home and installed the speakers and 30 minutes later I was ready for a test drive. Advantages: Loud, Clear, and good value

...After purchasing a new car and fitting the stereo i was strugling to conect the speakers. After removing the door pockets and speaker covers of my new 106 i found the previous owner had kept the speakers and failed to inform me. Annoying to say the least. But they say every cloud has a silver lining. Fortunatly for me I found some real gems at Halfords. The Alpine SXE 1325 S 13cm door speakers deliver a very clear high and mid-range sound and have a surprizingly punchy bass considering there size. I managed to fit them in Halfords carpark in half an hour with all the nessasery screws and bits provided. I then drove home in aural pleasure. I am planning to fit some 6x9 speakers in my parcel shelf to provide the bass sound to a better level. Hopefully i can afford some Alpine ones.... Read review
