Advantages: Strong, deep punchy bass Disadvantages: 12inch mounting depth, power requirements
This sub hits hard and fast. I bought it looking for quality bass and was not dissapointed. Im running it it a sealed box and although it doesnt put out as much bass as cheap ones in ported boxes do, it makes up for that in the quality. Been using it for 6months now and havnt had a single problem. Perfect for rock music and easily manages fast drum beats. One drawback is that it requires a lot of power (im running it with the MRD-M1005) so really needs a capacitor to get the most out of it and some serious cable! It's also huge and requires 12 inches at the back to mount it which again is a drawback but well worth the time if your looking for good bass. The rrp of £380 (i think) seems a touch high but as i got it for half of that i'd say it's well worth the money. The build quality is awesome so should last many years.
If you ...
Advantages: Movies, LiveView, 12.3 mpixels, build quality, excellent lens range Disadvantages: Still quite bulky for casual use. Expensive if that's all you want it for
There?s been a legion of digital cameras that have passed through my hands since they started to become a serious contender for 35mm?s domination of the amateur market. Going from memory, they?ve included Philips, Casio, Canon, Nikon and errr?..Nikon. What I really meant was ?the last for quite a while?.
LOOKS LIKE THE ?QUITE A WHILE? HAS EXPIRED
Then my daughter started making noises about a night-school class in photography, where the minimum kit requirement just so happened to be a DSLR, and I got to thinking about letting her have the D70 for a ?song?, whilst good ol? Dad treats himself to the later and much higher-specified D90.
Since I bought the D70 four or five years back, things have moved on apace ...

Advantages: good sound nice to look at Disadvantages: skips in middle of songs, no clock!!!!!, pay £160.00 for great sound
Ok bought alpine ida x200 as it did nearly all the things x100 does but was a £100 cheaper. after installing i noticed the clock would not display, so i contacted alpine u.k. and they gave me instructions on how to display. I followed instructions but these did not work so again i contacted alpine u.k. The response came back he had given wrong instructins and the x200 does not have a clock. The sound is nice on system but if you want to have great sound you have to buy an imprint sound manager system about £49.00. Then you will need the sound chip aruond £120.00. If you want bluetooth phone connection add another £80.00.if you want a clock add £100 and upgrade to the x100, i have never bought alpine before and never will again. I will say this though if you buy American x200 you do get a clock and a calender. Amazing how we the British ...
