...Owned a Renault Scenic 1.6 Sport Alize for nearly 2 years and my complaints are thin on the ground!
The car has been very reliable, drives well and is extremely condusive to carting around two toddlers and associated gubbins.
From 0-60 it is a real dynamo and reliable for pulling out of junctions - overtaking is a more cumbersome affair on the A roads or motorways - once in 4th or 5th gear it does cruise nicely but the lack of power at this level is noticable but perhaps not really an issue with a family car. Cabin noise can be annoying on longer journeys.
The driving position is great with good views all round and the seats are very comfortable. Gears are smooth and the brakes are superb!

Advantages: Smart, stylish & fast Disadvantages: handling (at times)
...An excellent car, improved on the earlier hatchback version which was replaced by the sports saloon from late 2002.
IMPROVEMENTS
The sports saloon is stylish, with sleek looks and providing a range of interior styles. The neetness of the chrome finish and half leather seats provided in the Vector model finnishes the car nicely on the inside. The body colour bumpers and spoilers present a sleeker look on the outside than provided on the lower spec models.
FUEL CONSUMTION
With a combination of motorway and town driving I manage to average around 41 mpg, which isn't bad, but less than I had hoped for. Typically I will get around 500 miles to a tank, making refills less frequent.
