...above 3k revs is wonderful..... Security and all the boring stuff: the usual airbags, side protection and seatbelt tension is included - this is possibly the poorest area of the wonder that is MX-5. There is an alarm and immobiliser are still rated. Comfort: sports seats are great and the driving position is very comfortable, maybe a bit too relaxing. It is a small car but my 6'3'' bf can easily drive without having his legs upto his chin.. Spaces: a decent sized glovebox (enough for lots of cd's, de-icer and gloves ! A little pouch along the back of windbreaker, which i great for magazines and some spaces between the windbreaker and hood (can only be used when hood is up really) which is handy for small bags ...the boot is big enough for my weekly shop for the two of us, or even better for 7 or 8 shoe/boot boxes with a few bags packed... ...My Mazda MX3 was my first sporty car. I'd had a Renault Clio before, and this was a whole step forward. It was a car that stood out in the car park, was so much fun to drive, and yet the boot was big enough that it swallowed a big rabbit hutch, paving slabs, bags of compost, five people's luggage - pretty much anything! You wouldn't want to travel long distances in the back seats. You can get three six-foot blokes in the back (honest, we did!) The bucket seats give surprising amounts of headroom - but your passengers had better be good friends, and not mind not being able to see much outside the car. Like many cheap Japanese cars, the basic finish of the dash is a bit plasticky, and the seats are nothing much to look at, though they are very comfortable and supportive. Advantages: fantastic styling, great drive, sporty, reliable, convertible
Disadvantages: only 2 seats

...I've had mine for 5 years and I love it :) and no I'm not a hairdresser.... It's the next best thing to having a really expensive sports convertible. I previously had an MX3 which I really enjoyed driving and have found Mazda to be a very reliable brand, with servicing annually at reasonable prices. I paid extra to get a Hard top for mine and it really was worth it. I actually think the car looks better with the hard top on, although once the sun's out the hard tops religated to the garage. Once you get used to only having two seats it just becomes the norm, and sometimes works to your advantage cause your less likely to have to provide taxi service to friends or family.
