Be the first to trust me

What a kerfuffle! But to show you what a fine fellow I am really, I have put
myself through the torture of reading another chicklitty book. This author,
however, is in a totally different class from India Knight.I chose Kathy
Lette because I went to a talk given by her and I know her to be a genuinely
funny woman.

And this book proves it. In it Kathy Lette makes us laugh so much on every
page, that we do not care about the plot.(Which is a good thing, since there
is hardly a plot to speak of. It is just all about a committment phobic
woman, if such women exist, who is having problems staying married, because
there are so many hunky fish in the sea.) You can expect wacky one-liners like the following on almost every page.

Men are walking down the aisle with a foetus in a veil.

Yesterday's spinster is today's feminist.

Where'd you find him? A male-order catalogue?

With friends like you who needs mothers?

Kate Figes is right. Kathy Lette is Queen of the wisecrack. Buy
this book. You will recognise it by the mashed up bride on the
cover. It is published by Picador and you will be glad you spent the
£5.99.

I haven't read this one, but the one book I did read by this author was quite amusing.
