Altec Lansing, the market leader in PC audio, announces a solution for the consumer whose audio needs are simple but whose demands for quality are as uncompromising as those of the audiophile, the ACS22 two-piece computer speaker system. The two-piece speaker system serves the needs of the value-conscience consumer without sacrificing quality output. It is ideal for those consumers who need excellent PC audio output, either for teleconferencing, games or music CDs, but who do not have a requirement for a subwoofer. The ACS22 speaker system delivers quality PC audio to the value-oriented consumer.

Advantages: Value Disadvantages: Can Distort
...The PowerCube speaker system is a 3-piece multimedia audio solution for your home or office personal computer that gives you power and performance at a tremendous value. Why settle for the limited output from a 2-piece system when you can step up to the powerful performance of the Altec Lansing PowerCube 3-piece system? I totally rate these speakers. I am glad that I have bought these. Altec Lansing have come up with a very good 3 piece set of speakers. At FULL volume there is very little distortion. However when you play with the bass and treble settings within Windows 98, it seems to a bit crazy (at high volumes). This is a great little speaker set, and I would reccomend them to a student, but I wouldn't mind something with even MORE power. Well Done Altec....

Advantages: There are many advantages to the Altec Lansing 220. For instance they are very convienent and easy to use. Disadvantages: I have been using the Altec Lansing 220, for a good six months know. I have not come across any disadvantages.
...The Altec Lansing 220 are a pair of speakers that work together. They are both easy to use and easy to install. The convience of the volume control position is better then any. No more searching for the volume control on your desktop. Just reach out and turn it. The convience of head phones is also incredible. You can plug you headphones into the side of the speaker instead of having to reach to the back of your computer. It's all right there is arms reach. The Altec Lansing 220 speakers are small and packed with sound. They are very affordable and I would recomend them to anyone who is looking for sound at a good price. If you are someone who likes to watch movies or listen to music from your computer then these speakers are made for you....

Advantages: great sound quality, high volumes, durable Disadvantages: unclear set-up
...I got Altec Lansing speakers about 5 years ago with the first family PC we bought. Since then I have moved them to 5 other PCs and they are the best I've even had.
The set up is very easy, they work on any PC through the headphone plug although it is sometimes tricky to decide which cable connects the speakers to each other.
The sound can be as loud or quiet as you want. The quality is glorious stereo and it more than rivals any standard Hi-Fi.
If you pick Altec Lansing you've picked a winner!...

The sound quality of my laptop has never been the same since I spilt a fine can of Carling over the speakers and being a avid gamer I just could not get into games or let them hold my attention for long enough without sound so something had to be done.... more
