The sensitivity of the microphone may be adjusted from the controls which are placed about a meter down from the headset. The long lead is really appreciated as it enables the headset to be connected to a computer which is placed somewhat far away. The volume control is also situated by the microphone sensitivity unit, about a meter down the wire from the headset. A common problem with headsets is for those who have speakers as well. Sometimes one needs to use the headset, as when talking to a friend and at other times one prefers the speakers as when listening to music or listening with a group. I solved this problem by using a 3.5mm jack splitter and connecting both the speakers and the headset to the computer using this splitter. In this configuration, when the volume on the headset is increased, the volume on the speakers is automatically decreased. Thus from one control, one can adjust both speakers and headset.
