...Once when I decided to buy speakers for my PC, I decided to opt for Altec Lansing since it has got reputation to provide good musical experience. Now I have been using it for the last one and half years. I feel that the provision to individually control tone and bass is very useful. Once when I started to use I understood that it responds more to the beats than the lyrics or voice of the singer. Hence it is very good to listen for Rock or Jazz like western music in it rather than the romantic or classical type songs. Its always best to keep the bass low compared to the tone to have a good experience with i.Further the main volume control provision is more useful to control volume instantly. Advantages: Clear Crisp Sound (CCS) and Ultra Stylish
Disadvantages: Cable is too short

...though they were £10 more expsensive than the Creative Branded ones, Altec Lansing is a better company and actually make their own speakers. Unike creative and logitech who just brand stuff (WHITE LABEL) The box itself weighs about 10kg or less, and all speakers and wrapped well in plastic bags, and surrounded by polystyrene.
