Their music is awsome!!!!!!!!!!I was only 5 years old when Cobain their lead singer died but their music still inspires me so many years later. I love the songs "smells like teen spirit" and "rape me" and "dumb".They have great drum parts which i like playing as i play the drums lol. I personally own their album "in utero" but id like to expand my collection. Their music is great: some songs are fast and others slow so you can listen to them whatever ...
...and who doesnt love Kurt Cobain's voice?They are an absolutly brilliant band!!!!!!!!They are great for people of all ages as long as they like their style of music...not for people who only like girly pop such as Hilary Duff!! I first heard The Divine Comedy when I listened to 'Tonight We Fly'. I was touched by the sheer originality and pureness of the music. I bought their greatest hits album and was amazed to find that every song contains a different style of music, from soft rock to classical! Because Neil Hannon's music has no real set genre, he is not restricted to the use of certain instruments, and makes full use of this point by using as wide a variety of instruments ...
...possibly stick to The Divine Comedy is Easy Listening, as you can listen to the music whatever mood you are in! I think the song 'My Lovely Horse' sums up Neil Hannon's work... "My lovely lovely lovely horse, my lovely horse, running through the fields, where are you going, with your fat locks blowing in the wind, i want to shower you with sugar lumps, and ride you over fences, polish your hooves every single day, and bring you to the horse dentist..." ... Greenday are one of the firsts!and still great today if i were to recommend i would say to start with try their greatest hits,this has classics like Time Of Your Life, Basketcase,Waiting loads! and then if you like this then you can purchase the older albums such as Dookie.Greenday are very catchy with their lyrics and are Great at bringing the fun factor into Punk music.This group could teach so many of the new bands a thing or two!I dare you to ... i saw the athlete boys live in August at the V festival in Chelmsford, Essex. They had to be one of the greatest bands of the whole weekend. everyone was totally into them and they were totally into the crowd. Its rare you find a band that are more excited to see their audience than their audience were to see them. Not that the crowd didn't want to see them!! They just seemed totally in awe of the crowd and the reception they received. They didn't ...
...who they were and that these people knew the words to their songs. Every single track they performed was damn near perfect and when they got round to playing their smash hits "wires" and "halflight" the whole of the croud just erupted into song and the guys were just like "wow, this is unreal!!" I would strongly recommend going to see these boys, this guy has a truely unique voice. The band is superb!! Top stuff!! ... Read review
