Advantages: Dont leak, thin and effective Disadvantages: Can be uncomfy at times
...some of the skinnier versions Always produce such as the Ultra Normal and ultra normal plus with wings. However, some of us may be paranoid that there's a big bulge showing from our behind, but rest assured, with these ones there is not.
The "normal" on their own come in one big packet where as some of the others in the range are thinner and individualy wrapped, so those would be better to buy if you are going places and want to keep a spare one ... ...apply because you just take one and rip the back strip off and pop it in your panties!! They are generally comfortable and tend not to leak at all (unless you put it on wrong) so that's reassuring.
Some of the variants of the "Normal" towels come with wings, while the others don't. I find the winged ones can prove uncomfy as the wings stick and the top absorbant layer of the pad can come up above the rest of the towel -not good.
They are widely ...

...can't get to grips with Always towels ... but it sure feels like it!!
I bought a packet after seeing an advert on the telly and was so looking forward to using this new revolutionary method and yet I was bitterly disappointed. The advert states that everything soaks through leaving you feeling dry...... this was not the case at all. Everything stayed on top and was UGH within an hour or so. For me this buy was a total waste of money and I would ...

...'new improved always' but as ALWAYS it wasnt the case.
once on they were extremely uncomfortable, im sure if my waste level was at head height you'd be able to hear them when i walked, they felt like a nappy. they are suppose to soak up all moisture but as usual this was not the case. i certainly didnt feel dry and protected. they actually rub the inside of your legs and im not fat im a size 8, so i cant see there problem, but i think always should ...

Advantages: It's better for some than free-flow Disadvantages: Uncomfortable, environmentally harmful, full of chemicals, full of synthetics, expensive
...a menstrual cup I used Always for my periods, even before having compared them to Lunapads or non-commercial pads I had a lot of problems with these pads.
For a start they were incredibly uncomfortable, with all the synthetic materials used and the plastic backing they had no breathability at all, so I was always sweaty in them, it is a surprise I did not suffer more yeast infections with these pads.
I'd always end up with these gathered in sweaty ... ...than to make them whiter. Always of course also being owned by Proctor & Gamble, which is another ethical consideration, on top of the environmental concerns.
My advice would be to avoid this product, if users of disposable pads try a brand such as Natracare, which are more breathable and doesn't contain harmful chemicals, or try switching to cloth pads. Avoid Always. ...

Advantages: Comfortable Disadvantages: Having to use them in the first place!!
I always rely on always normal. They are so comfortable and easy to use. When I get my period I feel so bloated and uncomfortable anyway, and with some pads you have a constant reminder that you have your period as they are bulky. These ones aren't. They are quite thin, which is deceiving as you think you are they are not going to protect you enough, but they do funnily enough. You peel off the strip at the back and they don't stick like some pads ...

Advantages: They are thin. Disadvantages: I cant think of any!
...I used to buy the always with wings towels but within the last year or so I started to buy these as they are slightly cheaper.
They come in a light green packet and it says Always in big white writing and then ultra normal underneath. You get 16 per pack. The packet lookes like a cube, It measures roughly 3 1/2 inches. Each towel is individually wrapped.
Each pad is 8 1/2 inches long and about 3-3 1/2 inches wide as they are shaped to feel more comfortable and they are thin. They have an ultra absorbent core that has neutralising properties to help keep you odour free so you are protected in every way.
There are a few other sanitary towels in this range including Always with wings and they also make sanitary towels for night time.
On the packet it shows you how you can dispose them and there is a little chart to show how good...

Advantages: length, absorbancy, value for money Disadvantages: no 'secret' pouch to carry them in
...I stumbled across these pads when i was pregnant with DS1 and out shopping for maternity pads.
I did have a small stash of mat pads but when i opened them to inspect them they looked just like very cheap sanitary towels so i was on a mission.
Normally i buy Always for a normal period but this time i was looking for something that would handle a heavier flow - i.e bleeding after child birth.
These pads were on special offer and given that they were long and designed for heavier flows i thought i should give them a go.
They made such a yucky part of post childbirth bearable.
I did have a very heavy bleed following birth and these pads did not leak once on me. I felt really at ease when struggling to get in and out of bed. Did not feel embarraced when trying to get up incase i had a leak as i felt i could really trust them
They do...

Advantages: They were free. but they are good too Disadvantages: None that I can see
...Sorry about the title, but it's true. I logged onto a certian Durex-related website, and found that they had a tendency to offer free comfort condoms on a Thursday. "Hmmm" I said to myself, and quickly filled in my details.
3 days later, I received, in a plain brown envelope, a pack of 3 "durex comfort" condoms.
Fantastic.
I would say, from a woman's point of view, that they are absolutely fine, although, using condoms as my only method of birth control, these ones not being spermicidally lubricated was a slight worry, but still OK.
My boyfriend is always complaining that "normal" condoms are a little tight (ooh err), and he found these to be perfectly confortable, also allowing a decent amount of feeling for both parties.
Added to this....they don't smell and they don't feel like Tesco carrier bags (like other brands can) either...

Juanes delivers the most fiesty, danceable rock you've ever heard. He's a Columbian rock star who's huge all over Latin America and Europe, and deservedly so. To my English ears, his sound, which draws on lots of latin dances, is really fresh. It's just... more
