Advantages: Handy eway to store portable data. Disadvantages: A bit pricey

USB (Universal Serial Bus) is now a fairly common standard port for desk top PCs and laptops. Most computers now have these ports to enable plug-and-play capacity. Various devices such as printers, scanners and cameras can be connected to these ports to transfer data. Memory keys are useful as a means of storing lots of text files for example, digital photos or Mp3 files.
Although the Amacom USB2 Flash Drive has a capacity of 2GB, the amount of data you will actually be able to store on it will be slightly under 1GB. This is because all flash drives use up some of their memory capacity by the software already installed on them. It is this software...

Advantages: Wi Fi Networking is great Disadvantages: Belkin aren't, installation isn't

Advantages: Good price - easy installation - online tutorials for the uninitiated! Disadvantages: May be slightly daunting to people less proficient in IT.
...OK - lets get down to brass tacks. I have a 1mb adsl connection (broadband) feeding my desktop and a company laptop. When I wanted to connect to my company's corporate network, I had to unplug my desktop's adsl connection and plug in my laptop, obviously rendering my desktop with no connectivity. After a few weeks of this I got very bored as I live with a friend, and when I was working from home, he wasn't able to use the internet until I had finished working.
So, using my technical expertise (I work in IT) and some funding from the Boss (taxable telecommunication benefit apparently?!?) I invested in a Belkin Wireless Modem and Integrated Router (acting as an access point) and a PCMCIA Type II Wireless Laptop card.
The theory behind this is that the dekstop will have a wired connection - but it will also offer a wireless...
