...The hard drive is meant to be used internally but I use mine as an external hard drive with an USB external enclosure. The drive might not be the fastest around but it is fast enough to use for those large files that makes life difficult. The fact that it uses SATA makes faster than IDE hard drives of the same size. The SATA also makes it very stable and up to date with the latest technology. I like the fact that you can buy it for such a low price as well. The only disadvantage I can think of is that when you damage the hard drive you won't be able to retrieve 250 GB of data. I hope this helps everyone who is thinking of buying one.... Read review

...I have used this flash key for mainly transferring JPG photos and word documents. It has proved to be an efficient and useful device. It appears to be a pretty robust piece of technology. ...Fairly decent hard-drive. Western Digital are a well trusted company, especially for computer equipment. 250GB is a massive storage device, you could store ALOT and with low power consumption makes it even better. Looking at the prices too this is a real bargin! I really recommend this hard-drive, the real-time data protection will help if your computer ever shuts off. It is also a 2.5-inch hard-drive which usually associates with laptops, however there are some desktop computers which could use this. If you did want to buy this for a desktop computer but your computer could only use 3.5-inch then you could buy an external hard-drive shell which could plug straight into your computer OR laptop through USB or Firewire. Overall I think this is a very nice hard-drive and a good bargin at the price it's avaliable for.... Read review
