Advantages: Cleans everything. Disadvantages: No storage for the mains wire and plug which tends to get twisted.
...Purchased Vax 6151SX after my second hand Dyson completely died !!! Before buying the Vax I thoroughly researched vacuums plus and so glad I did. This is fandabadosey - does everything except the ironing !!!
I've had it a week now- my house has never looked cleaner.
When it arrived my son (12 years) and I unpacked the box, it was like Christmas, so many packets and attachments to open and discover.

Advantages: Great allrounder Disadvantages: Bit fiddly changing from vacuuming to washing
...decided to buy one. After scouring the Argos & Index catalogues, I settled for a Vax 6151sx. This is a 6 in 1 cleaner - the six being;
1) Washes & dries carpets
2) Powerful everyday vacuum cleaner
3) Sucks up spills & floods
4) Washes & dries hard floors in an instant
5) Extra suction where you need it most (via turbo brush for pet hairs etc)
6) Designed for upholstery
The Dustbag capacity is 6 ltr and it has a 12 ltr water capacity. N.B. the water capacity is the overall water capacity - it holds 4 ltr clean water & 8 ltr dirty water.
The accessories it comes with is also comprehensive.
Apart from the main unit, we have; 12 different tools and attatchments, one bottle of carpet/upholstery cleaner and a couple of dust bags to get you started. At first, all these different pipes and brushes were a bit confusing...

The two models I looked at were by LG and Amana. In the end, we decided to get the LG and here's why...
