Amazing Ally, what can I say, my daughter wanted one of these last Christmas but at £60.00 we thought that was too much money for Santa to spend, but the other day we spotted one in our local paper, an unwanted prize going for £20.00 – much more reasonable so off went hubby to fetch it.

She’s scary, she’s blonde, she talks, she resembles the bride of Chuckie – she is only a kid’s doll.
But she is spooky, she tells you the date, the time, when your birthday is, what your favourite colour, activity and animal are while glaring at you with big staring blue eyes, that never close.

After putting batteries in (3aa and 3aaa – little pricey) and inserting the adventure ware pack, which came with her, she gives you instructions on how to set her up. Her clothes all have contact points so she even knows if she hasn’t got her tights, hairband, shoes or jumper on, when fully dressed and contact points have been met she tells you that she needs her book, this plugs very easily into a contact point hidden beneath her watch, you then insert different cards into her book to set the date, time and year and also your childs date of birth and other favourites that your child may have.
She comes with her very own tea set and when these make contact she tells you a tea party story. You can play several games with her with different cards like simple guessing games and when you do play Ally will remember who won and with how many points. She asks you to brush her hair; the brush has a sensor in it so Ally tells you how nice her hair is looking now that you have brushed it. The more you play with her, the more fun she becomes, she starts telling silly jokes (all about tea parties) and you can go on a tea party adventure to rescue the golden tea cup.
You can buy other adventure ware packs other than the bog standard tea party one that comes with her, but I haven’t actually seen them in any shops nor do I know how much they cost as it only mentions them in the instruction leaflet.
There is no way I personally would have paid £60.00 for the doll but having said that It is worth the money. My daughter has a new best friend.
If you don’t play with her for a little while she goes into “sleep” mode which is quite ironic, because as I have already said she doesn’t actually close her eyes, but this does conserve the batteries. It is advisable not to switch her off but to pause her other wise you will have to reset the date, time etc. everytime you play.
Advantages: educational, nice friend for little girl Disadvantages: she goes on and on and on.....
I've seen Amazing Ally advertised a lot, but her RRP is £70. I think this is extortionate for a doll so was pleased to find her for just £25 on one of Tv's selling channels. Since I bought her, I've found her in several toyshops for £24.99. Amazing Ally is an inter-active doll, designed to be the childs best friend. You have to program in your childs birthday, favourite colour, animal, holiday as well as the current time and date. This information ... ...find 2 different outfits for Amazing ally. I Have the Ballerina Set, and the Slumber Party set. Unfortunately, i haven't found them in shops and only got them through E.Bay. I can't actually tell you how much they are in shops (if you are lucky enough to find any, please let me know!!). The sets add extra variety, more stories and activities as well as extra items. When you put a new outfit on her, you have to change the card in the back of her but ...

Advantages: sounds impressive Disadvantages: gets very annoying
I was very disappointed with Amazing Ally. She was smaller than I had envisaged from the advertising I had seen.
The voice has an annoying American accent, which my daughter started to copy.
There are not too many options for play and my daughter got bored very quickly with Ally. The accessories to widen her range of activities (new clothes and game / story cards) are quite expensive.
But worst of all, you can't get the doll to be quiet once she ...
