...This novel is so much better than the film of it would suggest. I was moved to tears by this novel, and I think everyone will be able to relate to the characters in it. I really felt for Grace, the girl who the novel is based around, whose horse is injured, and the character of the horse whisperer himself is just beautiful. The decelopment of the mother from hard city woman to loving family mother is also beautiful. As with 'The Loop', I have found Evans to be an amazing writer, with a lot of talent. Many of his descriptive passages left me gasping for breath, and his insights into the female psyche are truly a revelation. Outstanding....

Advantages: Interesting, awe inspiring Disadvantages: sad and upsetting
...I found this book really fascinating, i ride horses and it makes you realise how dangerous it can be. But I found it wonderful to see how someone with such injuries can still make an amazing life.
Worth the read. I would probably not read this book again, but would recommend it to others who are iunterested in Biographies. I did find the last chapter a bit repetative but the rest of it was quite an amazement, how anyone can achieve what Christopher Reeve did makes us realise how lucky we are.
I found it sad because of his accident and rather frightening as I ride horses and realised just what could happen, although I wouldn't stop riding it made me much more aware...
