Not bad as they are very much on the side of the seller, but be warned if you decide to sell on there. We were selling on amazon.co.uk as a business for 5 years successfully with 99% feedback which was excelent. Then one day I was suspended, for what exactly well it took 3 days to find out, I had given 0.2% too many refunds that month! this was down to a buyer contacting me to say they wanted the dvd instead of video and had made a mistake therefore could I refund him. At the risk of a negative and to promote good customer services I said yes, and the other one that month was for items not recieved. That was it no more selling, they kept the £700 they had recieved for our sales for 90 days interest free and then had the cheek to bill me for the merchant selling account fees each month. They are absolute in their decision and it is impossible to open another account, as they crawl your ip address, bank, name, credit cards, tel no everything and are banned as soon as a match is found. There are numerous horror stories on the net apparently a big seller was banned recently that had high street chainstores. Not for bad seller practices but for refunding again.. So for all you people who rely on Amazon for a business be warned it doesnt last forever and amazon never reinstate you no matter what the reason unlike ebay who give you 12 months to think about it at least!

Good advice about the business side of things - I have sold a couple of things on Amazon but don't really do it often enough to set up the advanced selling option (I forget what it's called now), just enough to declutter my room.
So this is very valuable advice - and very sneaky of them, too, I think.

Having had an eBay shop until recently, I thought eBay's hard-and-fast attitude towards its sellers was bad, but this sounds even worse and I didn't think that was possible!
Advantages: one of the top 2 market places to sell you products Disadvantages: email correspondence / questions from buyers gives them access to you private email address
