I write reviews mostly about cinema because it helps me get a better understanding of cinema and place various films within context. Production is always more important than Plot.

Let me just get this out of the way....I'm a huge fan of Amazon. There is no doubt that what they do is the best. I've been shopping with Amazon for about 9 years ever since I realised that their price were simply better than everyone elses but not that their range was simply enormous allmost to the point that I believe that if its not on Amazon then its simply not available in any significant numbers.
Some years back Amazon introduced the marketplace which must seem like commercial disaster as the company is actively inviting competition. You can almost garantee that price on the marketplace will undercut Amazon prices by sizable margin even when you consider the extra postage costs. I started out buying on the marketplace several years ago (and I bought a lot) and I must say that I was pleased with every aspect of it. Amazon handle the transaction and notify the seller that when the sale has been completed. This is where you have to be clever and read the customer feedback for sellers. Select sellers with a high percentage of positive buyer feedback and you can't go wrong. Over a period of time I established some Sellers I liked and trusted and bought from them on a regular basis. Another great advantage of the marketplace is that these items are listed on the same product pages that Amazon uses to sell their items which makes it incredibly easy to find what you're looking for, which is something I can not say about eBay.
Recently I've become a seller on Amazon marketplace. This has been a really rewarding experience also. In last 2 months I've been selling off my music collection and thus far I've shifted about 500 CDs with no hassels at all. From managing your inventory to processing orders it couldn't be simpler. If you are planning to sell more than 30 items a months then its highly recommend that you sign up for a pro merchant account at a cost of about £29. The extra management features are well worth it and Amazon waive the 89p administration fee per item. I've tried selling on eBay also but have found the Amazon experience to significantly simpler and more financialy rewarding even when you consider that Amazon take a higher percentage of your sale price. (17%) Your amazon items will get better prices than eBay, this is a fact. Another advantage of being a pro-merchant is that your listings will remain listed until they sell unlike regular sellers which is 2 months.
As I said at the start, I'm a huge fan of the marketplace and until something better comes along this is the place to buy and sell.
