I switched to the Amazon Halifax card earlier this year, when I was looking for something lower interest - 12.9% at the time, however I believe this is now 15.9% APR. The first six months were interest free for balance transfers, and I believe this still applies.
Other features: There is no annual fee. Fees for late payment, over the limit spending, or returned payment is £12. APR for Cash withdrawal is 22.95%. Interest free period up to 59 days for purchases only. Minimum payment is 2% or £5. Cash advance fee is 2.5% or £3 min.
Not only did this card have a lower interest than my previous card, but I can collect loyalty points than can be used on Amazon. An added bonus for someone like me, who spends most of her money on books! You get: 1 point for every £1 spent with Amazon 0.5 point for every £1 spent elsewhere Once you get 1500 points you receive a £15 Amazon Gift certificate.
I applied through the Amazon site, after doing a comparison using a third party website. The process was very simple, and quick to go through. I experienced no problems with this process.
The internet banking is simple to use - recent transactions can be viewed, as well as previous statements. It's also easy to see how to make payments, and the IT support people are very helpful if you manage to lock yourself out bu forgetting your password!
The level of security online and by phone are excellent. I found customer services to be very helpful when I recently changed address, and I got no pushy sales tactics for extra products that I didn't want.
Overall, I am very happy with this card, and the level of service that I have recieved. Recommended especially if you can make use of the bonus points!

Didn't realise Amazon did a card and it sounds good if you buy a lot from their site. I only buy occasionally and my credit card is 6.9% so probably not worth switching for me. Good review. :)

I have one of these and the interest rate is lower than my other cards. I agree that customer services are very good. Liz
Advantages: 0% Balance transfer for 9 months - no transfer fees Disadvantages: Offer is only for 9 months (if only they can't they make it longer!!! :-) )
