There is much more to Amazon than books. Sure they stock millions of books, including the latest best sellers, to hard to get hold of books, and better still most book are at least a pound cheaper, than the high street.
I would call Amazon a entertainment retailer, because they sell products that we use for entertainment purposes.
All products are arranged into categories, which are:
Books: As I've said the book section is huge, and no other book store could touch Amazon is selection and price. They are always lots of special offers in the book section, at the moment you can get 3 best selling paperbacks for a mere £10. You can also get 50% off all hardback/paperback fiction/non-fiction bestselllers.
Music: As you would expect the music section is huge. You can buy the latest chart singles, and singles that were out years ago. You can also buy albums, from all genres. It quite easy to search for music titles, even uf you don't know what you want, thanks to the handy genre list on the left hand side of the page. Most titles are reduced, and you can get the latest albums for only £10.
DVD: If you are into DVD's Amazon is the place to shop, the stock all DVD releases, you can search by genre, eg action, horror, or use the search box. There is also handy information on DVD, Hot 100 lists, and a list of the latest releases.
Video: Amazon has a fantastic video section, they have all the newest vidoes, and lots of classics. You should check out the bargain section regulary because they have vidoes in all genres for only £4.99. Even whilst browsing you will come across lots of £5.99 bargains, which are perfect for thoses long winter nights.
Electronics: This is a new section which sells photography equipment, Home entertainment, Phones, PDA's and Computer Peripherals. They are some good baragins in this section, with some good discounts.
Software: Amazon has every title for your software needs, from Educational, Lifestyle to Home Office. All titles are competitively priced, and there are plenty of titles with 50% off.
Games: Games for every platform, this section is boss. It's so big you could spend all day browsing through the many titles. Unless you know exactly what you want, you will have hell of a job choosing that new game. When browsing you will find lots of bargains, some PCgames are only £3.99 and thats for boxed games.
The other sections are kids, which list products exclusively aimed at kids. Auctions this is where you can bid for items, and zShops.
I have shopped with Amazon about seven times this year, and I have always received the best service, all goods are delivered in the quickest possible time, your goods are well packeted to prevent damage. Even if something does go wrong, Amazon sort it out quickly and give you gift vouchers to say they are sorry.
The delivery are quite reasonable, say you got a selections of goods it costs £2.16 plus 29p, 42p, 59p for each item depends on what you have brought.
In my opinion if you want Books, CD's, Videos, DVD's Amazon is the only place to go.
