I have tried practically every self tanning product over the past 30 years. The first being Ambre Solaire Duo Tan which at the time was a pale thick cream with small amounts of a brownish cream added. The results were very good but the application quite messy. I remember leaving it on the time stated on the bottle before going to bed but the sheets were always left with the brown tell tale stains of self tanning cream.
Ambre Solaire was one of the first manufacturers to produce a self tanning cream and I know that over the years this product has improved tremendously. A few months ago whilst grocery shopping I noticed amongst the tanning lotions etc., Ambre Solaire Express Spray Bronzer. I knew it was a name to be trusted but I also liked the packaging. It's contents come in a plastic spray container oval shaped, quite flat and about 6" tall contents 100ml. I knew this product would easily fit into a make-up bag if I was going on holiday. So many of these products come in bulky containers that are extremely inflammable and therefore not safe to pack if you are travelling by air.
I was going on holiday in 2 weeks time so I started using the product immediately. In my case I did have a bit of a tan from a weekly sunbed session but as I am nearer 50 than 40 I noticed that a few more lines were appearing so I thought I'd give the sunbeds a miss. I couldn't believe how easy this product was to apply. I always have a bath or shower first, then apply a moisturizer, then the fake tan. The first thing I noticed was that this product glided on my skin like a op quality sun oil (a little went along way.) Being use to applying self tanning products I made sure that I applied a little more to all the parts you are inclined to miss (ankles, knees, backs of knees, elbows, inside of arms and knuckles.)
The smell of this product was really fresh and subtle, I thought it was peach but I was near enough it was extract of apricot. I did wait about 20 minutes for it to dry but late found out when using it again it dries immediately. I can honestly state that Ambre Solaire Express Spray Bronzer left no marks on bedding or clothing. Also I know that this product is recommended for fair skin but I have olive skin that tans easily and it left me with a deep brown tan, possibly as I had used the sunbeds I thought at the time. Now I havn't used them for about three months and I apply Spray Bronzer two or maybe three times a week and I still have a deep tan.
I can highly recommend it for all skin types. Best of all it leaves you skin well moisturized and feeling really smooth.
