Review of "Ambrosia Creamed Rice"
++What is rice pudding?++Rice pudding is a dessert, originating from Asia. It is made from a combination of rice, milk, sugar and often cream.
Rice pudding can be eaten both hot and cold, and many people add things to it such as jam (and my partner has a habit of adding more sugar, which seems disgusting to me, but each to their own!). Rice pudding is most suitable to eat as a dessert (in case the name rice 'pudding' didnt make that obvious!). And I dont know if this is just me, but rice pudding seems to be a real comfort food, and since i was alot younger i have eaten it whenever i am ill, i'm not sure why this is!
++How and when do you eat rice pudding?++
Abrosia's rice pudding as a very well known make of rice pudding. It has been made in Devon for around 90 years. This product comes in cans, pots and the new option of the Layers Twinpot range, which is almost like a yogurt, and contains rice pudding plus a fruit compote.
++What is Ambrosia creamy rice pudding?++
The simple cans of Ambrosia rice pudding retail at around 80p for for a can of 425g. These are available from most supermarkets and from the majority of convienience stores such as the coop.
++How much is it, and where can i buy it from?++
Per serving (Half a can)
++What is the nutritional content?++
Calcium 26% of RDA
Each portion (1/2 a can) contains a glass and a half of milk!
It contains no artificial flavourings, colourings or preservatives.
Ok, this item isnt the healthiest on the market, and it does contain quite alot of fat and calories, but for most people this is a treat, eaten once a week at the most (much less for me personally), so why not just go for it?!
++My opinion on the nutritional content?++
Simply devine, would be my personal opinion! It is thick and creamy, and basically, perfection! Unfortunately i cannot compare it to other, cheaper brands as i do not think i have ever tasted any, as I love this product too much, but from what i have heard from family and friends it is most certainly worth splashing out that bit extra for true quality, as non of the others seem to compare! Ambrosia rice pudding is not soggy at all, yet i have heard many cheaper brands described as this, and many other not very flattering adjectives!
++The important question, what does it taste like?++
Without a doubt! If you like to have the best item then buy this, as it truely is delicious!
++Would i recommend this product?++
