The unit itself is smartly designed but proves noisy in operation and of course does not produce the cooling power expected. Whilst it is adequate for a small lounge it is too loud for a bedroom and will not cool a large lounge or conservatory. The heating function is also not as good as expected. more
This is sold at a very high price even for a 150000btu machine but the truth is that is only just over 11000btu. I have now found out that the EU brought in a standard way of measuring cooling output over 3 years ago but Amcor persist in misleading people into believing their units are more powerful by using a non-approved measure of output. The unit itself is smartly designed but proves noisy in operation and of course does not produce the cooling power expected. Whilst it is adequate for a small lounge it is too loud for a bedroom and will not cool a large lounge or conservatory. The heating function is also not as good as expected. There are better units on the market for at least £100 cheaper.

recently bought this unit mainly for my lounge.
it has a true BU rating of 11300, more than adequate for my 16x12ft NE facing room (late afternoon sun).
Just a couple of points following on from other reviews. Yes, it is heavy, but really not so heavy as to be worried about. I managed to get the unit up a steep flight of stairs on my own, albeit just one step at a time. It is liftable for an average build male.
As with all mobile air cons, it ... ...exceeding the design spec. In this units case it comes with a 2meter x150mm hose. I have mine in a corner, next to a window which only has a top opening. The hose fits at the back of the unit, but even so mine pretty much still sits in the corner with the hose attached. I confess to a liberal interpretation to the 500mm clearance at the back of the unit as there are no vents to the rear, but the left side (looking at front) is where the vents are. ...

I have this and the 12000 model. The 15000 for the sitting room and the 12000 for the bedroom. They are essentially the same, the 15000 being more powerful.

It's relatively expensive.
The angling of the air output is quite limited.
It takes up a lot of space - the unit needs 50cm at the back and on its ... ...space efficient when it comes to positioning.
The window fitting kit is designed for windows that slide along a rail. Mine don't and it is jury rigged to the windows in a rather unattractive and probably inefficient way.
The hose is short (1.5m) and being inflexible makes it very hard to place anywhere other than right by the window. The angle to which the window kit fits the window will dictate where you can place it as well. The manual also warns ...
