Everyone should have heard about Enid Blyton. She’s been around for ages! (even before my Mum was born!) Enid has written loads of stories, but I really like the Amelia Jane series best.

In the More About Amelia Jane book, the second story is called Amelia Jane and the Ink on page 22. It’s about Amelia Jane writing a letter to Father Christmas.
Amelia and the golliwog had an argument and the golliwog said that he hopes that Father Christmas would take Amelia Jane away in his sack. But Amelia Jane said the same to him, so the golliwog was very frightened and said that Father Christmas only reads letters if you write them in ink. Amelia Jane believed him and the children weren’t even allowed to play with the ink so everyone was shocked.
The ink was high up on the mantelpiece and Amelia Jane could just reach it, but no-one else could. She started showing off about how she had got the ink and lost her balance and fell down on the floor. The bottle of ink went flying up in the air and landed on Amelia Jane’s face and all the ink went all over her face, even in her mouth.
Then the golliwog got a scrubbing brush and scrubbed it on her face and she had to pay for the ink. The children came in and wondered why Amelia Jane’s face was so clean! I think that story was really good, but I haven’t got a favourite book of Amelia Jane stories, they’re all so good!
My Mum used to really like Enid Blyton’s books and she especially liked the Malory Towers series and the St. Clare’s series. There are other books by Enid Blyton called The Naughtiest Girl In The School, The Far Away Tree, The Adventures Of Binkle and Flip, Mr. Pink Whistle and a gigantic amount more!
I have got loads of Enid Blyton books and so has my sister and most of them were passed down by my Mum, from when she was a kid. (That must have been ages ago!) I really like Enid Blyton books, so if you or your kids have got any books by Enid Blyton, read them because you will enjoy them!

...old fashioned. We saw the Amelia Jayne books and bought her one I didn't think she would actually finish it, she did over a weekend. She has since read a second one and is on to her third.
The books are about a naughty doll who plays tricks on the other toys and they get their own back. To a young child these books are very interesting and make great conversation if you like to chat about what they have read.
If your little girl likes reading or ...

Advantages: Great read, enjoyable, still in print! Disadvantages: Non!
Naughty Amelia Jane is one of Blyton's most popular characters for younger children. She is a wild and wilful doll who wreaks havoc among the peace-loving members of the nursery and who is always getting into impossible situations. Amelia-Jane is one of the most mischevious characters I have met that is suitable for younger children (5yrs plus).
Enid writes with passion and sincerity, involing us in the adventures that this young girl has. I can ... ...was very young - and that was a very long time ago! Now I read them to my class - wholove them to bits!
For early readers this is a good book if they are in the need of something more challenging or in chapters. Those that have been printed recently come in large print so are great for developing readers - plus as a story teller they make it easy to get through. ...
