My daughter who is 6 had to change schools and found the new reading books boring and very old fashioned. We saw the Amelia Jayne books and bought her one I didn't think she would actually finish it, she did over a weekend. She has since read a second one and is on to her third.
The books are about a naughty doll who plays tricks on the other toys and they get their own back. To a young child these books are very interesting and make great conversation if you like to chat about what they have read.
If your little girl likes reading or you have trouble getting her to read. Then they will love these books, they make the children feel like they are reading grown up books; but based at their level.
