WHERE DID IT GO WRONG?
Review of What's Left?: How Liberals Lost Their Way - Nick Cohen by  Mauri

Advantages: Well argued and easy to read
Disadvantages: An interest in politics essential

...nine million Iraqis voted in free elections some risking their lived to do so and yet despite pleas by many Iraqis left wingers political activists in the liberal West abandoned their ideological comrades, made excuses for the 'insurgents' (or more accurately terrorists) who were in part supported by of oppressive middle eastern dictatorships such as Iran and Syria and for the larger part were made up of Baathist supporters of Saddam. Progressively gripping
Review of The Postman - David Brin by  jambo6

Advantages: Solid and picks up pace
Disadvantages: A bit short

I read it in less than 24hrs which isn't bad as my copy (Bought very inexpensively from good ole Amazon) is 321 pages long. The only other book by David Brin I've read is Glory Season, which was better in my opinion.... Read review

Review of The Three Day Rule - Josie Lloyd, Emlyn Rees by  kingfisher111

Advantages: really entertaining read
Disadvantages: none!

...think there are times when I can relate to that rule! The extended Thorne family is made up of the father Gerald, now widowed, and his two children Elliot and Stephanie. Elliot is married to Isabelle and they have a teenage daughter, Taylor. However, Elliot has been having an affair with Kellie, who is staying in a hotel on the mainland, where hopefully Elliot will be able to visit if he gets the opportunity! Stephanie is married to David with whom they now only have two children since their son Paul died in a tragic accident eighteen months ago. So you can see that potentially all is not well in the Thorne household and tensions are brewing nicely for Christmas. Isabelle's attempts to take over the house do not go down well with Stephanie who is already under enormous strain to be cheerful because it is Christmas. Taylor, with her friend... Read review
