Advantages: Using Connie's face on a dart board perhaps?!? Disadvantages: Connie; her hair, eyebrows, make-up... the list is endless
I am afraid to say that AOL's advertisement techniques are working brilliantly at getting people to love to hate them!!
Since seeing the first AOL advert, I have been unable to listen to one single word broadcasted by them... "Why" I hear you ask? Well, one very simple answer; "Connie". Why oh why did they choose HER to 'promote' their little business!!!
I am unashamed to say that my housemates and I have formed our very own "Hate Connie Club"! ... ...would like to see her obliterated... Firstly, her hair is awful- what is that fringe all about?! And I think someone got far too tweezer-happy whilst attending to her eyebrows... Along with her make-up, consitent blinking and dodgy clothes she is slowly driving us all up the wall. (Her ditzy and patronizing voice is also completely irritating).
So, apart from the 'star' of the advert, I am unable to comment on the pros of joining AOL. Perhaps if ...

Advantages: They are onle 60 second long Disadvantages: 60 seconds of ultimate pain and torture
What can I say, My title sums up my entire opinion of AOL's advertising techniques. Their attitude is biggest is best: which we all know is definatly not the case so far as ISPs are concerned.
The AOL woman is the spawn of satan, her voice is irritating, her hair drives me round the bend and why oh why does she feel the need to blink every time she says each over pronounced word?
I cannot express verbally how much this woman and her stupid blinking ... ...These adverts are pants and I pray to god that someone from AOL reads this review and does something about it.
I know most people are indifferent to adverts but I appeal to anyone reading this review who feels similarly to me to add their own comments or review. I have made it my mission in life to ensure that this torture does not carry on. ...

Advantages: They've aimed it at the right audience Disadvantages: Everybody just wants to poke the advertiser in the eye.
Whoever it was who came up with this kind of advertising should be shot. Any sensible person would realise that while irritating the hell out of people may make your adverts memorable, they also make people want to dismember the product.
And so it is with AOL's ill-advised ad campaign. The woderfully warm and cuddly "family environment" in which it's based just makes me want to hurl, like the ludicrous steriotypes that the characters are. Instead ... ...and infuriates whoever's watching.
And don't get me started on "Connie", the ultra-patronising bird who pops out of the computer to save the day once again. Her perfect pronunciation and manner makes me want to slap her repeatedly; yes, that's where the title of the comment came from. It's actually even more irritating when you've been subscribed to AOL before as I have, and know that almost everything she's talking about is rubbish and they won't ...

America on line (AOL) is probably the best internet service provider going at the moment although it is available at a cost. The call charges are reduced if you sign up for the package for a certain amount of time so then you can surf the world wide web for as long as you want between the hours that are off peak. The home page is good and it has added extras like homework help. It is also one of the fastest internet service providers that I have ...

If you watched the 2004 Golden Globes you might have noticed that a feature length film called Angels in America was winning quite a few awards. And with a cast including Meryl Streep, Al Pacino, Emma Thompson and Mary Louise Parker it sounded pretty... more
