Customer Service:
I was very wary of previous bad reputation of Bulldog customer services. However, my experience has so far been relatively satisfactory. Before my connection I received all the necessary paper work, passwords and usernames etc through the post and whenever I have needed to phone up I have gotten through relatively quickly. Although you always have to go through the recorded voice and pressing numbers rigmarole.
Warning:
If after your connection date has been arranged and for some reason you cannot be at home to meet the engineers on that date, you have to rearrange for a new connection date at least 4 days before the original arrangement. Otherwise you will have to pay £60? morally wrong in my opinion!
Overall I can recommend this service ...
Advantages: Nice temperament, a loyal, loving companion Disadvantages: Not for you if you mind snoring or flatulence!
I have owned Bulldogs for around 8 years now, not for showing, purely as pets, so I hopefully can give you an insight into my experiences with this breed from the point of view as a pet owner.
If you are thinking of becoming a Bulldog owner you will really need to get clued up on the breed. There are many useful websites and books you can check out. One of the first books I read was Bulldogs: An Owner's Companion by
Christian Bruton (you can get this and various breed manuals from Amazon).
PLEASE, PLEASE do your homework, you need to make sure this dog is suited to your lifestyle and that you have the time and attention to devote to this wonderful animal. Go to a show, observe and ask the breeders questions.
