L'Oreal have produced a new shampoo for dandruff treatment. According to L'Oreal, it contains the active ingredients of: Actirox - this acts from the first use to eliminate dandruff and top it from coming back Equaderm - this cleanses, and restores the scalps natural balance. The shampoo is recommend for normal to greasy hair. This product appears to have been relaunched, as I have a bottle in my cupboard that I bought ages ago, and that is greay and says Anti Dandruff shampoo for men on it. L'oreal have now obviously decided that women get dandruff too. L'Oreal state that there are proven results where dandruff disappears and your hair is left shiny with no scalp irritation. Review of L'Oreal Elvive Anti-Dandruff Shampoo

Good anti-dandruff and conditioning shampoo- only for a few weeks

Advantages: Soft, manageable hair; hydrates the scalp so it's not itchy or dry
Disadvantages: Stops working after a few weeks; hair and scalp go back to previous condition

Head and Shoulders Hydrating Smooth & Silky shampoo I was very impressed with this product soon after I bought is. I thought you couldn't find a better product for this price (paid approx. £1.90 for a 250ml bottle in Boots). I remember Head and Shoulders from my childhood. Then only one type of shampoo was available in a chunky white and blue bottle; and it was embarrassing to buy it in a shop as everyone knew you had dandruff. Now these days are gone and Head and Shoulders has rebranded as not only an anti-dandruff product but also one that is designed to care for your hair, no matter what hair type you've got. Review of Head and Shoulders Anti-Dandruff Shampoo Smooth and Silky

American Crew

Advantages: Smells nice, good hold
Disadvantages: none.

The hairdressing salon that I go to promote the full American Crew brand ranging from wax to shampoo`s, conditioner`s, etc. Whenever I was in having my hair styled this was the brand of product they used so I decided to give American Crew a try. I have a short to medium length hair cut which has various spiky bits which require products which can provide good hold. Lots of the styling gels I had previously used tended to make the hair rock hard and matt it together. American Crew fibre gives a matt texture look without shine, designed for use on contemporary chopped and textured styles to get a natural look. You only have to use a small fingertip amount to hold you hair strongly in place all day so a small tub will last you quite a while.
