American Crew do a range of hair products, and they have a very good reputation, and from my experience (over a year of using FIber) i can see why.

The packaging itself is sleek and with its large blue lid, easily recognisable, and you will probably recognise it from your local salon anyway as most good hairdressers stock this product.
You wont be embaressed to have a few tubs of this in your bathroom! Unlike some less than great hair products that are availiable (normally from your local garage!)
The smell of the wax is great, which is always a good sign that you are usisng a quality product (not as nice as Fudge wax, but still very pleasent)
The tub, average in size, i find last a month or so, but this of course depends on how long your hair is and how much you would use of course!
It is described as a 'Pliable Molding Creme' and is a thick, fibrous, semi solid creme. Like any wax it is fairly sticky in texture but is easy enough to spread over your hair and very easy to control once applied. (I prefer to apply to dry hair rather than wet as it creates a more natural look!)
It doesnt feel to great in your hair like all wax as it feels kind of dirty, but its not as bad as some waxes, so thats a good thing.
For natural or deliberately styled looks this works brilliantly and holds for a long time, easily for the night, the only time it hasnt held with perfection is in REALLY HOT clubs, but generally i want to leave any club that is budget enough not to be well cooled enough to prevent my hair from literally melting.. so this, this only issue i have had with American Crew other than the slightly expensive price tag, is not a big deal.

...started on Fiber (note the American spelling) after a bit of persuasion - I mean, the 100 gram tub costs a tenner! But to shut him up I decided to give it a try.
For quite a while I was happy using Tigi Bed Head, a blue, gooey, semi fibrous creme that did a pretty good job. But when I started using the American Crew Fiber I was impressed. It is called a 'Pliable Molding Creme' and is a thick, fibrous, semi solid creme. It isn't too eager to rub ... ...perfumed chemicals or alcohol.
American Crew do a range of hair products, and I also use the shampoo and the conditioner (probably shouldn't have admitted to the last one, but it was bought for me as a present - honest) and they do the job but not wildly better than any other shampoos or conditioners do.
As to whether the Fiber is better than any of the other hairstyling products on the market it is definitely a question of personal preference. ...

...I then came across American Crew Fibre. In short, this product is exactly what I've been searching for, and this is why.
Unlike the others, Crew Fibre is a unique product. It doesn't look, feel or even smell the same as the rest and it creates the kind of styles not possible with the others. Another plus is that it actually lasts! No longer do you have to worry about a bit of rain or a gust of wind spoiling your hair on a night out, this stuff holds ... ...having to resort to more being applied.
Another bonus is that this creates a matt effect. If you're tired of greasy or wet looking hair from using hair gels or some slime type products you'll love this. It looks like a natural hold and you can't tell there's a product being used here.
There are some downsides however, the first being that it's not the cheapest of products. At over £10 for a standard puck it's almost 3 times the cost of supermarket ...

...products I decided to try American Crew Fiber. I have very thick hair (I am asian - Indian Origin) which tends to stick out and fuzz if cut short.
Hair Wax gave me a greasy look and gel made my hair crusty and look like straw. So I was in search of a product that gave me a natural clean finish that gave good hold.

You can only buy Amerian Crew online or from salons so dont go looking for it in your local shop. I paid £7.99 ... ...The tub is a 'puck' (ice hockey) sized plastic container with a screw lid that just oozes 'quality'.
The product itself is a light creamy yellow colour and has a hard/medium consistancy (like solid fudge). The smell is quite exceptional and I like it VERY much, difficult to describe but words like 'creamy, lemon and coconut' spring to mind and isn't over powering like some strong gels I've smelt. (You cant smell it once you've applied it).

...go to promote the full American Crew brand ranging from wax to shampoo`s, conditioner`s, etc. Whenever I was in having my hair styled this was the brand of product they used so I decided to give American Crew a try.
I have a short to medium length hair cut which has various spiky bits which require products which can provide good hold. Lots of the styling gels I had previously used tended to make the hair rock hard and matt it together. American ... ...Its a pretty small tub so pretty easy to store.
The Fibre smells good as well which is an extra benefit.
American Crew fibre is a product for those who are particular about their hairstyle and want a good quality product to maintain it.

This is definitaly a popular product in the UK at the moment, and so I thought I'd give it a go. All I can say is that, if you have short hair, this is a great great product for a messed up look, which doesn't endup looking greasy or wet. The only problem is the hold of the product, I felt at this price a stronger hold would have been included, but I find the hold generally wears thin after a few hours.
