American Intercultural Student Exchange

AISE is understaffed, unhelpful and extremely expensive. There were several students in my area that were switched around like I was. I am not sure what the company did with my $10,000+ USD but it was not worth it! This company does not check all of it's host families in advance and sometimes does the check after students are already in the host family's house. Complaints fall on deaf ears when contacting the company. "Find your own replacement family" Is not acceptable when the family is unable to host a student. In 2002, I found out... the company was investigated by the United States State Department for allowing a student to be placed in a home where he was molested. This is something that should have been made known to those who give their money to them... I say DO NOT CHOOSE AISE!!! Spend your money with another organization and save yourself a lot of trouble. I wouldn't even give them the 1 star I have to click here but I want it to count in the tally and since it says "very poor" I would have to concur. The employees in this organization need to look for another line of work.
