Advantages: Small but informative Disadvantages: None
...Everytime Iam going on holiday and it's a destination I have never been to , I buy the BerlitzPocketGuide.
Yes it really does fit into your pocket.
I have got a book on Las Vegas, California, Disneyland, Florida, Menorca/Majorca, France, Greece, the Algarve etc etc.
I found these little books very informative. They always have a detailed map on the inside cover. The first few pages are usually on the history of the destination.
There are recommends for Hotels, Restaurants, Shopping, places of interests.
On one of the pages there are handy hints for your holiday. Like for example ;
Where the airport is situated.
Bicycle Rental.
Campsites
Car Hire
Climate
Complaints
Crime and Safety
Customs and Entry Formalities
Right up to Tourist Info Offices
Youth Hostels.
Keep up the good work Berlitz.
