'It all started after I fell out with Louise and Bethany, really. It was falling out with them that made me try to find friends somewhere else, and the Internet seemed a good place...
more...to look...' Amy is a level-headed sort of girl, certainly not one to get into dangerous situations. But when the new term starts she does find herself without her usual gang of friends. And so she turns to the Internet and meets a very sexy guy who calls himself Zed. It's not long before he is asking her to meet him...Even the level-headed Amy cannot in the end resist this invitation...In Mary Hooper's classically accessible and unpreachy way, she tackles responsibly the potential danger of the internet and the use of 'date-rape' drugs.

Amy by Mary Hooper Teen fiction around 171 pages.

The story begins with Amy being interviewed by the police, saying when it started. When she fell out with Bethany and Louise, with no one to talk to she logs onto a internet chatroom and meets Zed, he's funny, smart and knows exactly what to say. Amy knows going to meet a internet friend in the real world is a bad thing to do but he seems so normal, so real. It's a pity she doesn't know what Zed has instore for her.

From the way the story starts you instantly know what has happened, this thought provoking book should be given to all teenage girls and boys to show them that the internet isn't a safe place.

I thought this book was amazing though it was very short and I managed to read it in around 3 hours but though it is short I think the beginning, middle and end were fantastic because it was very realistic and the characters were very real and well developed.
