An Ideal Husband - Oscar Wilde

I saw a production of this about a year ago and it started me reading the rest of Wildes plays. Wilde is a funny and perceptive writer and his work draws on his experience of victorian manners. An Ideal Husband is a play about love and politics. If this sounds boring then bare with me as it really isn't as predictable as it all sounds. The main characters are victorian gentry/middle class. I have been involved in amateur dramatics for some time now and have performed in numerous plays. By far my favourite genre is comedy and none better than the plays of Oscar Wilde. I BRILLIANT PLAY BY ONE OF OUR NATIONS GREATEST PLAY WRITERS. i have only read it once but already it is my favaourite book and regualy check it out from my local libary although i have had to wait many times before i can take it out as many people are reading it probablt because it is maily used for exams which is another reason you should read this it is a very famous novel and is cherished by hundreds of thousand of people. i hope you read this book and is a brilliant way to spend your time. i hope you have fun reading it as it inspired me to read the many other books by him and is the ... more
