I had an accident at work by falling down a flight of stairs and banged my hip badly and needed hospital treatment. The pain still carried on and flares up badly sometimes that I can’t move my hip as it hurts to much, but now I have found something that gets rid of the pain in an hour or so Anadin extra. My fiancee told me of the Anadin extra that his company makes( Wyeth consumer health care) so i gave it a go.
Anadin extra are white tablets that are oval shaped and come in strips of 8 and in a box of 16 or 32 tablets, you can also get soluble tablets if you find it hard to swallow tablets. Anadin Extra tablets contain aspirin and paracetamol, which relieve pain and lower temperature. Aspirin also has anti-inflammatory properties.
In addition to that the tablets contain caffeine, which increases the pain relieving effect of the product.
Were before taking the tablets I can hardly move my hip or even walk once taking these with in an hour I can be walking around with no pain. They are really easy to swallow as they have been made to be able to swallow easily.
I have found these to be very good in getting rid of pain especially period pain that can also cause women problems. They cost around £2.09 for a box of 16 and around £3.29 for a box of 32. They are made by Wyeth consumer healthcare in berkshire.
There are other conditions you can take Anadin for not just pain some of them are headache, migraine, neuralgia, toothache, sore throats, period pain, sprains, Rheumatic pain, Sciatica, Lumbago, Fibrositis, Muscular aches, Joint swelling, Influenza and Feverishness. I wouldn’t change them for anything else because they do work wonders for me, but as with most medicines it doesn’t work for everyone.
Some people may experience side effects, although these should be temporary. If the unwanted effect is severe or lasts for more than a few days you should tell your doctor. Speak to your doctor at once if you notice any of the following after taking these tablets. Difficulty in breathing or if you have a skin rash (this may happen if you are allergic to aspirin and you should stop taking these tablets), black stools or if you vomit blood (rarely, aspirin may cause stomach ulcers or bleeding), gout, any stomach problems (such as pain, nausea, vomiting), any unexplained bruising and bleeding, change in skin colour, unexplained headaches or tiredness.
Rarely, agranulocytosis may occur which is a disease of the blood. All of the above are rare side effects. High caffeine intake may result in tremor or palpitations. If you notice any unwanted side effects not mentioned above, you should tell your doctor or pharmacist before continuing with the medicine.
I myself have not suffered any side affects from taking Anadin extra and have been taking it for 8 months now. I don’t take it all the time just when my hip is that bad that I cant walk on it. The Anadin Extra tablets should not be used after the expiry date stated on the pack. Remember to keep all medicines in a safe place, out of the reach of children and Store at temperatures not exceeding 25c.
To take the Anadin you take with water and the dosages are Adults, the elderly and young persons over 12 years: 2 tablets by mouth every 4 hours. Do not exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours. If the symptoms persist for more than 3 days, consult your doctor. Do not give to children under 12 unless your doctor tells you to.
Taking too many tablets may be harmful and you should get medical advice straight away, even if you do not feel ill, because of the risk of delayed, serious liver damage
