...products on my hair, and Andrew Collinge No Kinks Straightener is, in my experience, one of the best.
The No Kinks Straightener comes in a 100 ml tube, and is like a fine gel. It also contains a multivitamin and UV filter complex to protect hair from heat styling and environmental damage. On the back of the tube is the claim: "Use no kinks straightener when you want to transform your hair into a style that's seriously smooth and ... ...control hair, adding a beautiful silky shine and leaving it poker straight and super smooth".
And it works.
After washing my hair I wait until my hair is only slightly damp before squeezing a small amount (about the size of a penny) unto the palm of my hand. I then rub the gel between my hands (to ensure it goes on my hair evenly and not just in one big glob), and run my hands and fingers through my hair, paying ... more
It's true what people say, the way you look does determine how you feel on any given day. Call me shallow and vain, but I don't feel like skipping to work with a smile on my face, when my hair makes me look like Mick Jagger's sister.... On a bad day (no offence to Mick Jagger's sister, she might actually look great for all I know. He might not even have a sister, but I have a mental image, and I'm going with it).
For many of us, after stumbling out of bed in the morning and tripping over our shoes, followed by kicking our shoes and shouting abuse at them, and then at the world for the injustice of it all, we don't really feel ready for the daily fight with our hair. Don't get me wrong, there are days when we wake up and everything goes right. We spring out of bed in the morning, full of energy, and look in the mirror to find gorgeous hair, and a flawless complexion. We skip to work, tossing our hair, even smiling and waving at 'Leery Larry' who stares at your ass until you are completely out of sight. But days like this don't happen too often, so we need all the help we can get.
With so many hair care products on the market, it can all get a bit confusing. You have your volumising, straightening, shine, gloss, colour enhancing etc products to choose from, each promising to give you the hair you have always wanted. I prefer to keep things simple. My hair is fine, and can be very frizzy and difficult to control, so for years I have been using straightening and anti-frizz products on my hair, and Andrew Collinge No Kinks Straightener is, in my experience, one of the best.

On the back of the tube is the claim: "Use no kinks straightener when you want to transform your hair into a style that's seriously smooth and straight. It will straighten frizz prone, kinky and difficult to control hair, adding a beautiful silky shine and leaving it poker straight and super smooth".
And it works.
After washing my hair I wait until my hair is only slightly damp before squeezing a small amount (about the size of a penny) unto the palm of my hand. I then rub the gel between my hands (to ensure it goes on my hair evenly and not just in one big glob), and run my hands and fingers through my hair, paying most attention to the ends, where it would be mostly dry and prone to frizz. After blow drying my hair and giving it a quick straighten, the results are fantastic. Not only does it make my hair frizz-free, but it adds a lovely glossy shine, and the hair is really easy to straighten. It doesn't make hair greasy either, which is a problem I have had with these sort of products in the past.
Another thing I should mention is the yummy smell. It has a lovely, floral scent that you can still smell when hair has been dried and styled, which is a great added bonus!
I would give it top marks, and at £3.49 for a 100 ml tube which will last you aaages, it is a little hair care miracle, at a bargain price.
Advantages: Good Leave In Conditioner does not weight hair down. Disadvantages: Nothing I can think of.
...product was particularly good for smoothing down the hair shaft as well, and I can definately tell the difference when I dont use this product, Andrew Collinge does a wide range of products to style and manage hair for particular needs, but my dressing table wouldn't be without this product. ...

Advantages: Long-lasting Disadvantages: None so far
I came across this Serum (No kinks Straightnener) on offer in Superdrug £3.99 but buy one get one free so i thought why not?
I have thick, frizzy hair and it really does work, it contains a UV filter to help protect your hair from heat styling.
It comes in a nice sleek, transparent tube and stands up with the cap at the bottom so you always have some without having to wait for it to run down the side like many shampoos!
You apply it to damp hair ... ...becoming greasy like some you apply after. Though it does work after as i often forget to put it on whilst my hair is damp but only use a tiny amount just to gloss over your hair.
Its 100g so not a lot but it goes a long way i have medium length hair and it lasts me ages.
No negatives as far as i can see and i've been using it for a year now, (third tube - just started) ...

Advantages: Smooth, Glossy hair.... Disadvantages: It doesnt last long enough!
...across 'no kinks' straightener by Andrew Collinge when it came free with some hairstraightners. Before using this straightening balm, i didnt really use any serum or hair products on my hair before straightening and my hair was in quite bad condition..... spilt ends and very dry. When i first used 'no kinks' straightening balm, i was amazed at how soft my hair felt, it was very soft and wasn't all frizzy like it usually was. After using this product ... ...a change my big frizzy hair had suddenly gone soft and frizz-free!!
This 'no kinks' straightening balm, does not just have to be used before straightening your hair, it can also be used before blow drying. A 10p size is enough to ensure you have supper soft hair!
This product is available in Superdrug, Boots & Tesco and is priced at around £3-4, which i think is superb for a top product! ...

Advantages: My hair looked glossy, felt soft and this brand is usually on special offer. Disadvantages: Hmmm, can't find any yet!
...So, I tried Andrew Collinge Shampoo & Conditioner and noticed the hair serum beside it. Everything was on special offer, so I got some of that too.
Put it this way, even when I was drying my hair, I felt the difference. My hair felt so soft, but not flyaway, like some products can do. My long hair was tamed and my boyf, asked if I had had my hair cut or dyed cos it looked so different. My hair also looked incredibly glossy and I can't help but touch ... ...have never used a product which actually does what it claims to do. I use the serum daily and my hair now looks in great condition. It dosn't leave your hair feeling greasy, it doesn't cost a bomb to buy and I noticed the difference within minutes of using it. I don't have frizz anymore but that is with using the serum daily and my hair is even requiring cutting less. Its less dry and brittle and this serum is a gift from heaven! My hair is in great ...

Advantages: Smells great, does not make hair greasy Disadvantages: None
...and they had the whole Andrew Collinge range at buy one get one free. So I went for the Straightenning serum and a glossing gel. The serum came in a nice small tube containing 100ml. Having used the serum, I was very impressed with the results, my hair felt fresh and not heavy unlike some other products I had tried in the past. It made my hair look sleek and smooth, doing just what it said on the label. The scent was appealing and the serum itself ... ...from root to tip.
The serum is heat activated therefore you need to blow dry your hair for it to do its stuff, it reccomends that you blow dry your hair downwards to employ smoothness and the straight effect more easily. The serum made my hair easy to syle with the hairdryer and produced the desired effect... no frizz! Its effect is relatively long lasting and the style was straight and sleek all day. I would reccomend this product to anyone who ...
