Play the Game

Advantages: Entertaining subject, engagingly written, very amusing in parts.
Disadvantages: Loses interest towards the end.

and the wannabees. Through the wit and style of his writing, we get an insight into the kind of personality it takes to be a PUA; if the author seems a little arrogant towards the end of the book, this is probably a reflection of the makeover he's put himself through. The Game chronicles a fascinating experiment, and Strauss is a gutsy, talented Guinea Pig who manages to hit a chord with both readers and those around him in the story. However, the feeling of envy and admiration the reader may have held at the outset dissipates drastically as the book reaches its climax. This isn't really a fault of the writing, although the pace does fall away and the narrative does lose interest somewhat. Juice me up Andrew!

Advantages: Thicker looking hair with a lovely shine
Disadvantages: Only available from Asda

I came across this product in Asda last week when I was looking for something to give my fine hair a bit more body. At £3.00 for 250ml I thought it wasn't too expensive and if it didn't work, as so many different products I've tried didn't, well at least I hadn't wasted too much money. It comes in a tall cylindrical black plastic bottle with a lift off top and has a spray applicator. The words Shiny Happy Hair Andrew Barton Big Hair Lifting Juice Body Building Style Spray are written in green and white on the front of the bottle. I must confess I've never heard of Andrew Barton but on doing some research I discovered he had been in the hairdressing business for over 25 years tending the hair of the rich and famous. His new haircare range has been sold exclusively from Asda since 2007. ***WHAT THE BLURB SAYS*** This body ...

Into the Garden - Virginia Andrews

Advantages: Brilliant Storyline
Disadvantages: didnt know it was a sequel :@

This was the book that really got me interested in Virginia Andrews. Purely by chance, i won it on a raffle and had it sitting under my bed for a few weeks before i actually started reading it. It is the last in the "Wildflower Miniseries" about a group of girls, Misty, Star, Jade and Cat, who met in a group therapy session. They had all been hurt somehow by their parents, either abandoned, abused or ignored. The book revolves mainly around Cats family. After the sessions ended, the girls meet in Jades mansion and form a group called the OWP or the 'Orphans with Parents'. Cat is kept a prisoner in her home by her 'mother', Geraldine, who doesnt approve of the other OWPs, and so she has to sneak out to see them. Then Geraldine mysteriously turns up dead in the living room. Cat calls the other OWPs, not knowing what else to do ...
