I'm sure you've all heard of Andrex.Well , if you havn't I will explain it to you!
* What is Andrex ? *
Andrex is the company which makes toilet roll.Although I'm unaware of the time Andrex began , I do know that Andrex has been around for a very long time.A golden labrador puppy is the 'face' of Andrex.I think it's because of the cute puppy on the front is the reason why Andrex sells so well.It also appeals to children , who then tell their parents to buy it because they like the puppy on the front.
* Andrex * The toilet roll is extremely soft yet still strong.The toilet roll does not smell which is good.Compared to other loo rolls , Andrex is quite thick and also more expensive but I do believe you are getting what you pay for.The rolls come in different colours in order to fit in with the colours of your bathroom.Available colours include ; white , warm natural, gentle pink and Aqua.Andrex is also available with a touch of Aloe Vera.Personally ,I do not like the Aloe Vera one because it has a strong smell , which I dislike.Although , other people might like the smell of it.
*The Roll *
There are on average 241 sheets per roll.The average sheet size is 124 x 110 mm.Total area on average is 39.28 m2. The average roll length is 29.76m.
*Packaging* The packaging is made from cellophane wrapper.The colour of the packaging tells you the colour of the toilet roll.For example , a blue packaging indicates aqua coloured toilet rolls.The logo is "Andrex" in large blue font with a white background which is like a roll.There is a golden labrador puppy leaning over the logo.On packs of threes and fours you can see the roll .In packs larger than four you cannot see the rolls from the outside.However , there is a handle on the packs of twelve in order to make it easier for you to carry the toilet roll because they're quite large.One thing I dislike about the packs of twelve is that they're large and therefore don't fit in a bag when at the supermarket.Therefore I have to carry the large toilet roll pack around town where everyone can see it , which I find embaressing!
* Where can I buy Andrex Toilet Roll ? *
You can buy Andrex from all supermarkets , and most local shops.
*How much does it cost ? *
Prices vary depending on how many rolls you buy.You can buy a pack of two rolls for approx. £1.09.Newly available is a pack of three for a price of about £2. Packs of twelve can be bought for a price of about £4.50.It states on the pack that you are getting '12 rolls for the price of 9' which is a good bargain.
*Uses *
Although Andrex main aim is to use when on the toilet , it does have other uses.One use of Andrex which I find is good , is for removing make up by using water or a cleanser.The paper stays together really well and does not fall apart.It's also good for cleaning up spillages.
* Website *
Andrex have their own website which you can access at the following address : www.andrexpuppy.co.uk I think the website is mainly aimed at children due to it's content of puppy games.You can also buy 'puppy' items such as teddies off the website.You can also collect tokens which are printed on the packs to put towards buying these items.
*Advert*
I'm sure you've all seen an Andrex advert.If not , it has a gorgeous golden labrador puppy who plays with the toilet rolls.The puppy makes you want to but the toilet roll.
*Conclusion*
I think Andrex is a great toilet roll.Although it appears to be expensive , you do really get what you're paying for though! It's sooo soft and strong too.I give Andrex a 9/10
