I purchased this book as a holiday read from Asda as it was in the 2 books for 7 pounds offer. I have previously read the prequal to this book 'Angel' and so decided to give this one a go.
Angel Uncovered is about a girl called Angel who is a famous glamour model. In the book 'Angel' she was just starting out on her career and managed to get herself in some sticky situations with men and drugs. She managed to get through it all though and in the end got together with family friend Cal, who was an up and coming footballer.
In Angel Uncovered we find Angel married to Cal with a baby called Honey. She is living the high life with a lovely house, a beautiful family but somehow she is just not happy with it all. Cal is becoming more and more distant from her and she has a lot of problems that she wants to share with him but just can't. Cal has problems of his own with trying to get picked for the world cup team while have a persistant knee problem. When Cal gets transferred to Milan, it seems to make the situation worst. Angel doesn't want to move away from her family and friends to a place where she doesn't know anyone and will be all alone with her problems. Little does she know that the worst is yet to come.
When you read this book you can see Katie Price's influence throughout. If you have read her autobiography a lot of the elements of her own life seem to come through. There is the obvious, that the main character is a glamour model but also when the character does photo shoots for example this seems like it came straight out of her autobiography.
The character Angel is an interesting character. She is by no means an 'angel' really but you can tell she is a nice girl and just has quite a lot of problems. You do start to sympathise with her as you realise all the things she is having to deal with.
I personally quite liked the fact that the book had quite a lot of WAG characters in it and how she was going against the norm of these. We read about WAGS every day in magazines etc but it can be quite funny to almost make fun of them in a book like this.
The England football team element was also quite fun. The team all had different names but you could tell where the ideas came from for the various players that had parts in the story. If you have read Katies Autobiography you would see about her encounters with David and Victoria Beckham and i think a couple of the characters are definitely based on these two.
The characters on the whole had different elements to them which is what makes a good story and they all worked together well.
The storyline itself is quite good and does keep you gripped as you wonder what will happen next. It also manages to get some important issues in there including post natal depression. It isn't an overly deep storyline though and although bad things to happen to Angel, it isn't exactly deeply intense. I like the way that there were some smaller storylines weaved in as well involving her friends. This was a nice distraction from the main story at times.
The book isn't too long and it didn't take me long to read it on holiday. It was a good holiday read though as it wan't too intense. I wouldn't say that Katie Price, or whoever actually wrote the book, is the best writer in the world but it was an anjoyable read and I would read more books of hers when they get released.

'Angel Uncovered' is the sequel to 'Angel'. This book follows on from the ... ...friend had a copy of Angel ,and I had a copy of Crystal ; both of us had read the books we owned , but wanted to read the other one ; so instead of spending £7.99 (or however much the books cost at that time) , it meant we could swap them for free , yet still get a really good read!). I loved Angel and so when I heard there was a new book; Angel Uncovered , I just had to get my hands on a copy of it!

Firstly, AngelUncovered is quite different to the original 'Angel' book (based on KatiePrice!). It is more serious and although a great beach read, is not as light reading as its predecessor, but none the less, I couldn't put it down! Luckily, it is 200 pages longer than 'Angel' so it will last longer!
The plot is set a few years after she and Cal finally got together and ideally, she should live happy ever after but with many twists and turns along the way, AngelUncovered provides a shock at the end.
I would reccomend you read 'Angel' first as it will be easier to understand the characters in the sequel.
Although not as fun and flirty perhaps as 'Angel' it is still a great read in its own way, and you will enjoy just as much as Angel. ...

I read the first Angel and couldn't wait for this book. I loved it, a great follow up for KatiePrice. It was filled with sex, infedelity, babyies, WAGS and everything there is behind the closed doors of a celeb lifestyle. The book as a whole was fabulous but I found the ending to be abrupt and not the way I had wanted it to turn out, alought it leaves you wanting more and you know there is going to be another follow up book which I cannot wait to get when it comes out. All in all it is a great chick flick read and great for the beach etc and it will definately have any girl hooked. Another excellent job for Katie, well done bring on the next book ! ...

written! Rebecca is a celebrity ghost-writer and has been the writer behind KatiePrice's successful novels Angel, AngelUncovered, Crystal, and Sapphire. I've only read Angel which I thought was an okay read, but judging by how popular Price's novels have been, I have to credit this to the writing skill of Farnworth and so I was interested to see what this novel was going to be like. It's lovely bright cover and synopsis sounds like perfect chick-lit and it really did deliver on all areas for me.
Valentine Fleming is such a loveable character, and that is really the main reason this novel is such a success for me.
