Reason For Buying

I got this book because i am very interested in the paranormal and i find anything to do with it fascinating. The book is easy to read because the words written in it are written with letters that are big enough to see well. As a personal preference i like that better than books written with smaller writing because i think that it makes it a lot easier to read and also because with smaller writing, i find that i lose my place a lot when trying to read. If you are interested in this sort of thing i think you will love this. It really gave me a insight into angels and that's something that i have always had a particular interest in. I had a experience about 1 years ago when i was lying in bed but couldn't sleep. At the time i was going through a lot of things and felt like things couldn't get worse than they were at that point. I was feeling very down and i was also afraid because i had heard a scratching noise at the window beside my bed and when i looked nothing was there. I tried to ignore it but could still hear it and was feeling very scared. When i turned my head around towards the door i seen a face in front of me and i went from feeling really afraid to having a sense of calmness, i felt safe and my worry and the scratching noise just disappeared at that point.

I still remember it as if it was yesterday and although he only appeared for a few seconds i am in no doubt that he was there. There has been many paranormal things that have happened to me and others in my family and i have never felt calm before when something has happened to me because it scared the life out of me! This was different though he was so kind looking and he smiled at me. I remember he had dark brown hair in curtains and brown eyes and he was not like you would think an angel to be from what you will have read in stories either. There was no wings or halo just a glow behind him. I will never forget seeing him and i believe he was a angel and after reading this book i am even more convinced because others have had similar experiences. After that experience i have had even worse times but knowing what i seen then and remembering how i felt at that point gives me a feeling that things will be ok no matter what happens. I still get days like everyone else were everything seems to be going wrong and my anxiety's are still bad but i feel thankful that i had the privilege of seeing him. Even though it was very brief it has made a impact on me and i will remember it for the rest of my life.

The Author

The person who wrote this book is a woman who i believe anyone who has interest in angels and even some who don't will have heard of. Doreen Virtue is her name and she is often referred to as "the angel lady." Doreen is a spiritual doctor of psychology and a metaphysician. She works with the angelic, elemental, and ascended-master realms in writings and workshops. She has written more than 20 books about angels, chakras, Crystal Children, Indigo Children, health and diet, and other mind-body-spirit things including Healing with the Angels which was a best seller. She has a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D in counselling psychology, was also the founder and director of WomanKind Psychiatric Hospital at Cumberland Hall Hospital in Nashville and she was an administrator at Woodside Women’s Hospital in the San Francisco Bay Area. Both of the hospitals specialized in treating women’s psychological issues. Doreen also directed three outpatient psychiatric centers, including an an alcohol abuse and adolescent drug center. She also has a range of CDs and cards available as well.

What Is The Book About?

This book is full of true stories about people from all walks of life who have had angel visions. In these stories you will read about all kinds of experiences and varying visions that people have seen. Some people do see angels that look just like the ones in films and books. Then others are similar to my experience were they see someone with a glow behind them. One third of all of the people who were surveyed for the skeptic magazine's poll said they have seen a celestial being. This book has many facts similar to that one throughout it and it is very interesting to read them. When i finished reading this i was left with no unanswered questions about angels because this goes into great detail on every possible aspect and answers any questions that you may have. This is the most fascinating book i have ever read. There are many stories of "divine intervention" for instance there are stories about when angels have actually saved peoples lives by showing up at crucial moments and distracting them long enough to prevent disaster!

Some even describe angels showing up in peoples last moments and these stories are told by those who watched them pass away. I wont explain any of the things that they seen in these instances because i don't want to spoil it. This book also has step by step guidance to help you see and visually connect with your angels. This also highlights the fact that sometimes angels are not from any other place nor are they paranormal. Sometimes they are just normal people who go out of their way to do remarkably kind things and they have just as much an impact on people as the paranormal type. Some of the people in this book who shared their experiences did so anonymously because they are afraid others will not believe them. I understand that but i don't at the same time. I don't think people should have to feel this way if they encounter anything paranormal. In days like these were the shows most haunted, Colin Frys Sixth Sense and Crossing Over with John Edward are constantly shown. I feel that a lot of people are more open and aware to things like this and it shouldn't feel so daunting sharing your experiences with others.

Chapter One

This chapter is named Adults Who Have Seen Angels and is filled with pages of stories about them. These are all very interesting and intriguing to read and i believe that even if you have never had a experience with a angel or even if you don't believe them, this can still be a captivating and excellent read. In this chapter angels come to people in all different forms. The one thing that all of their visits have in common is the fact that the moment they happened those people lives were impacted, some more so than others but no matter how big or small the impact the people who came into contact with them will never forget it!

Chapter Two

This chapter is named Children That Have Seen Angels. I think this says a lot in terms of proof that there is something else because some of these kids just seem way too young to even know about the stuff that they have seen. Yet they are able to describe it in great detail . Like for instance a two year old who described to her mother exactly what angels looked like and told her that they sing her to sleep or someone who asked their child that is also two years old do you ever see angels? This persons friend had mentioned that small children are more open to seeing them than adults and so he decided to ask. The kids reply to this was "oh yes," and the child pointed up at the ceiling. The parent who asked this goes on to explain that they do not attend a church nor do they have strong religious convictions Infact angels was something that was never discussed in their house. I think this is very interesting and reading the many stories in this section expanded my belief of angels even further.

Chapter Three

This chapter is named Strangers Who Come From Out of Nowhere, Provide Physical Help, and Then Disappear. I found this to be one of my favourite parts of the book and i really enjoyed reading these stories in particular. I have actually spoken to someone who has been in a situation like this and i think it is so amazing to read about. In some instance people explained these experiences like a time warp and strangers just appearing out of nowhere in dangerous situations and helping them. It was especially amazing to read stories where that happened and a few people were present but only one person seen the person who had helped them.

Chapter Four

This chapter is named Strangers Who Give Healing Messages. This was also very interesting to read. In this chapter you will read stories about what is indicated in the chapter title but some will more than likely leave you thinking, wow! In some instances strangers showed up and said words off comfort to people, said their name even though they couldn't have knew it and then disappeared. That is just one example of the amazing stories you can expect to find in this chapter.

Chapter Five

This chapter is named Children Who Have Seen Apparitions of Their Deceased Loved Ones. I found it comforting to read the wonderful stories in this section and they really give you a reassuring thought and tell you that although your loved ones may have passed on they are still around you. So in a way you never really lose them. A example of what this chapter has to offer is stories about when someone comes to inform you of a loved ones death. This sometimes was people who where related to the person that they where telling in some way but they had passed away before they ever got the chance to know them.

Chapter Six

This chapter is named Adults Who Have Seen Apparitions of Their Deceased Loved Ones. This is more or less the same as chapter five. The only notable difference is that in this chapter the stories are about adults rather than children. An example from this is some people who have seen deceased loved ones who appeared when they needed them most. This is another brilliant chapter!

Chapter Seven

This chapter is named Seeing Ascended Members. This chapter had me very intrigued. An example of this is that it has stories about people who say they have seen Jesus and that they have even been healed. Sometimes the visions just resemble Jesus rather than actually being claimed to be him but whatever the case the people who experience them are very glad that they did and have been moved, comforted and reassured by them.

Chapter Eight

This chapter is named Dreams of Deceased Loved Ones. In this chapter peoples deceased loved ones visit them in dreams. Sometimes they come with reassuring messages and other times they come with warnings. I found this to be quite interesting and because we all dream, it

is something that could happen to anyone at some point in thier lifes and maybe without them even knowing it.

Chapter Nine

This chapter is named Angels Entering Dreams and Meditations. This is about times when angels have contacted people through dreams or meditation. This was very interesting for me because i have listened to audio books guiding you on how to do this before and i have seen results. This takes a lot of time and patience and requires you to genuinely believe that it can work. and to keep persevering with it. The stories in this chapter are fascinating and a joy to read. Sometimes people are really seeking a answer to something, so they ask for help and they go on to have vivid dreams which provide the answer to their question. There is many more stories, influenced all kinds of situations in this chapter and this is just a small example of what it has to offer.

Chapter Ten

This chapter is called Seeing Angel Lights. I liked this chapter a lot, the stories in it are about angelic lights. These lights appear as a warning, a comfort and basically to help the people who see them in one way or another. An example is that they appear before tragic accidents. You will read the stories about the people who experience this and many other things related to lights. Plus the impact they have on the people lives.

Chapter Eleven

This chapter is named Seeing Signs From Above. This is another of my favourite chapters and the stories are wonderful. These are linked with Synchronicity and meaningful coincidences. These were delightful and fun to read and i am a keen believer in things like this. I really liked this part!

Chapter Twelve

This chapter is named Near-Death and Deathbed Visions and Visitations. This is a comforting chapter to read and the people who are near death tell stories of leaving their bodies and seeing their passed on loved ones come to greet them before they are brought back to their body and conciousness again. This to me sounds like astral projection and i found it particularly interesting to read about these stories because i have always been intrigued by it and even listened to audio books about it.

Part Two

This part is all about how to see angels, it is separated into different parts. These explaining each aspect and giving you something of a step by step guide on how to.
You Are Clairvoyant Right Now

This part explains about your third eye and tells you how everyone's third eye is operating perfectly. This also tells you where your third eye comes into use for instance it is used in dreams.

Losing The Fear of Seeing

In this part Doreen tells you about the fear that people associate with seeing things. Such as the fear that you will see something frightening/disturbing. I felt very reassured after reading this that if i were to try and see anything, i would not be at any threat of this happening. Doreen goes into great detail telling you the truth about it and that what you will see is nothing like you see in horror films. She explains that fear is what prevents us from seeing things.
Fears Left From Childhood

In this part she speaks about childhood memories which can effect you. For instance if you were having any experiences and your parents told you that you were mad or that they were evil and discouraged you and she goes onto give other examples of how your fear may have came about.

The Fear of Breaking A Rule and Incurring God's Wrath or Going to Hell

This assures you that you are not breaking any rules and even explains that Jesus himself talks to the dead as he is reviving them.
The Fear of Going Crazy, Dying,Ascending or Losing Control

In this part Doreen speaks of peoples fears on this topic and the fact that this holds people back who want to become clairvoyant. This also discusses many other things which i wont go into because they are for you to find out when you read it.

The Fear of Losing Someone's Love or Approval if You Open Up Your Clairvoyance

This part reassures you of how to deal with this worry and what may happen and basically puts any worries you may have at ease.
Fear of What The Angel Might Say if You Saw One

This part is about some worries people may have about a deceased loved one maybe being angry with you for some reason and other things along those lines.
Fear That You Wont Be Able to See The Angels

This part is about some peoples fear that they may not be able to see them and the effects this fear can have on their ability to do so.

Chapter Fourteen

This is a one week plan to open you up to angel visions. This is very detailed and easy to understand and includes a What to Do Each Day part. This includes telling you to use a journal, meditation, chants etc.

Chapter Fifteen

This chapter is named How to See An Angel .This part is wonderfully detailed and full of useful information that you can use to achieve this.

Chapter Sixteen

This is the final chapter and it is named Everyday Angel Visions. This has even more useful information and a part about noticing angels among us. This was very interesting and i liked it a lot.
Other Parts

There is also a bibliography, acknowledgements, a contents index and an about the author part.

The Book

The book has a nice cover and it tells you on the front that it is written by the best selling author of Angel Medicine. It also has a part at the bottom of the cover were it says "Queen of Angel Therapy" and this was written in The Daily Mail.

My Opinion

Wow! This is one amazing book and it will probably have you as interested from start to finish as i was. If you are specifically interested in this sort of thing, then i highly recommend it but even if you think you are not i still highly recommend it! Because it is just so interesting. This amazed me and there is so many different stories about things that have happened to all types of people. I found myself looking forward to every single next page that i was to turn and i was very enthusiastic about it. This does not happen to me often with books either and i get bored very easily but there was no chance that i was going to get bored with this one. I really liked how Doreen virtue put everything across in this, it was so easy to understand and packed with great information as well. I once listened to CDs of hers and i also enjoyed them quite a lot. They are very relaxing to listen to although saying that. That is the point but they do work! I will be buying more books by Doreen Virtue in the future.
