This paper is unlike any other. Not only is the content quite different from that of a normal newspaper, it tells only truth too!!!

I don't know many anglers who have not at sometime or another, looked in between these pages, and found something useful.

It basically has everything that the modern day angler would want. There are sections on all different aspects of the sport. Carp, match, sea, as well as just the sport in general.

It is also totally crammed with news, reviews, results and competitions. It has so much more than a normal fishing mag would offer. Its features, explaining different methods that are worth trying , to the angler, are a less prominent part of the paper (when compared to the magazines), but it makes up for this with additional content which cannot be found anywhere else (other maybe than 'Anglers Mail').

The match results are a particular thing in the paper that I always look at. I find them very useful, and with my sometimes busy match schedule, they are a valuable research assistant. They may not cover every result in the country (but that would obviously just be way too hard), but what they do write can be interesting stuff.

They also write up to date weekly reviews on certain fisheries in different regions. Their cover of Cornwall (which is what would help me most as I live there) is limited, but occasionally something will come up. They only really cover the biggest venues, but that's better than a load of small ones that very few people have heard of I suppose!

The paper also has a section for juniors, where everything is simplicated slightly, and competitions are run.

To keep you attention, its packed with photos of anglers and their catches (prizes are awarded by the paper to readers who catch nice fish and have photos published), so it keeps fishing regularly as they offer some quite nice stuff.

The topics are always interesting and worth a read. It comes in paper format obviously (it is a newspaper!!), which means its one of the cheapest fishing publications available.

And finally, SORRY FOR WAFFLING ON FOR SO LONG!!

I am pleased that after all my hard work getting the fishing section up and running that it is now being used by writers other than myself. I look forward to more great opinions in this and other sections from BJEE
