Life as an England Cricketer
Review of Fraser's Tour Diaries (The Real Story of Life on Tour with England) - Angus Fraser by  starwriter111

Advantages: A very honest and forthright account
Disadvantages: None

...Angus Fraser's book is based on diaries he kept throughout his career as an England cricketer, which were based mainly on his experiences of playing for England on tour in the 1990s. The book shows the reader how life was really like as an England cricketer, through providing insights on incidents that took place behind the scenes on tour (One example being the scene in the dressing room after Mike Atherton's resignation as England Captain) and detailed journals that Angus kept of the more eventful test matches on tour that Fraser was involved in. He also includes his own account of England's test series at home prior to each of the tours he was involved in as well as the periods when he was not playing for England. Angus also provides his own views and insights on leading English figures in English cricketers (including Mike... Read review

Review of Angus, Thongs and full frontal Snogging - Louise Rennison by  angiebabyqueen

Advantages: one of the most funny books ever!
Disadvantages: you might pee yourself you laugh so hard!

...Angus, thongs and full frontal snogging, you may think that this is a sex book designed for women over the age of 16 from the title, but it is actually a teenage comedy book, (but you would be right in thinking that it is a women’s book) about a cat that cannot control who he gets pregnant (Angus the cat), thongs - seeing your enemy wear them, and never having snogged a member of the opposite sex before; so that you go insane and end up having snogging lessons from someone you don’t like so much. Georgia has to go to an all-girl’s school because her parents want her to go there. They have to wear berets at the school and Georgia and her friends are always coming up with silly ideas about wearing them differently just to annoy the teachers; especially the caretaker and gardener Elvis, which they just lurve to wind up and torture. Boys... Read review

The Life of Marie Antoinette by Antonia Fraser
Review of Marie Antoinette (film tie-in) - Antonia Fraser by  becky_tredget

Advantages: Well Written, A Great Story of the Life of Marie Antoinette
Disadvantages: Can be Quiet Complex in Places, Gets Confusing with the Politics and Names

..., masked balls and excessive expenditure on clothing. These later were to create her downfall and dislike by the French Court and the French people by the excessive rumors and scandals associated with her life. Fraser portrays the Queens ignorance and naivety to these as she surrounded herself in a fantasy world at Versailles. Once i started reading this book i could not put it down, and began further researching into the Life of the Queen. Fraser holds a compassionate and modern perspective of her life and produces excessive and concrete evidence that blows apart the scandals and rumors that created Marie's eventual downfall as Queen and acted as the catalyst of the French Revolution. Fraser demonstrates how the Queen was cast as the scapegoat of the country economic failings and was cast as a traitor to the people. This book does get... Read review
